A while later, Lin An tentatively selected Cataclysm Rule.
But for some reason, neither Cataclysm Rule nor Soul Walking displayed any more information from the System.
Even after pressing them several times, there was no response.
Perhaps it couldn't provide any, or perhaps whatever it provided would be useless.
Lin An could only guess at the effects produced by combining these two Rules. They clearly weren't as simple and violent as Doomsday Starfall.
Just like his Soul Eye, some Rules were genuinely difficult to manifest.

"I can't even see the specific abilities."
Lin An gave a bitter laugh and could only accept this fact.
He subconsciously glanced up at the Falling Stars Mission countdown. Lin An knew that he no longer had much time to hesitate.
Every minute and every second was precious. He had to make his choice now.

"I need to become stronger."
"And what I'm hesitating over now is whether to choose the safest way to become stronger or choose the unknown. From a mathematical perspective, one has a guaranteed expectation of fifty, while the other ranges from zero to one hundred."
"Then without a doubt, I should choose the safest enhancement."
"But..."
Absolute rationality wasn't necessarily correct.
Lin An seemed to detach himself from all the pressure and tried to view his current situation from a third-person perspective.
Having experienced this state under the Omniscient Domain, he knew that this perspective offered the clearest view of a predicament.
"But fundamentally, I'm becoming stronger to increase my chances of surviving this mission."
"Can exchanging for equipment or exchanging for Doomsday Starfall let me kill the Star Shatterer and everyone else?"
"Impossible!"
"There's only one way I can
