"Oh, not bad!"

"90! 74! 90!"

"What a knockout!"

Master Roshi was thrilled. He blurted out his thoughts without thinking!

Whoosh!

A gust of wind swept by. Everyone saw a blur, and Master Roshi was suddenly standing beside Xiao Wu.

"Hello, little miss! You're so cute. Do you have a boyfriend? Maybe you'd consider me?"

"Listen, I may be an old man, but I've still got plenty of energy and tricks up my sleeve!"

He circled Xiao Wu in a frenzy, looking just like an old peacock showing off his feathers!

"Hey, Master Mutaito, there are a lot of people here. Could you try to tone it down?"

Son Gohan covered his face, looking helpless at Master Roshi's ridiculous behavior.

"Ahem. A martial artist should be true to his heart. This old man is merely honing his spirit. Yes, honing my spirit!"

With a cough, Master Roshi finally regained some of his composure.

"Since you've met the requirements, I can certainly take you on!"

Just as he was about to say more, two voices suddenly came from outside.

"Master Roshi, is dinner ready?! We're starving!"

Before the voices had even faded, a man and a cat came rushing inside.

They were Yamcha and Puar, who had returned ahead of the others to train with Master Roshi.

"Wow, that's a lot of people!"

Yamcha exclaimed in surprise, then quickly collected himself.

"Goku, Gohan, it's you guys! Is your adventure over? Did you find all the Dragon Balls?"

They hadn't seen each other in days, and he seemed like a completely different person. All his old bandit ways were gone.

A martial artist's aura radiated from him, inside and out.

"Hey, Yamcha! Looks like you've been doing well!"

Son Gohan greeted him casually.

"I have you to thank for that. If you hadn't spoken up for me, I wouldn't have had the chance to train with Master Roshi."

Yamcha grinned sheepishly and scratched his head.

"All right, all right. I know you already know each other, but come with me first. The island's gotten a bit too small, so we need to find somewhere new!"

Looking at the enormous crowd in the house, Master Roshi felt a headache coming on. He hadn't had to deal with so many people at once in ages, and just looking at them was exhausting.

Once everyone had left the house, Master Roshi put it into a Capsule.

"Hey, old pal! Time to move!"

He shouted toward the sea. Ripples spread across the water, and a Sea Turtle emerged.

He yawned and mumbled groggily, "Didn't we just settle here sixty years ago? Why are we moving again so soon? What a hassle!"

But when he saw the crowd on the island, he was so startled that he fell silent.

Just as everyone had finished packing and was getting ready to leave, a small boat came speeding across the distant sea.

"Huh? Someone else is here!"

Son Goku, seated on the Flying Nimbus, shaded his eyes and spotted a tiny figure on the boat.

The group had been about to leave, but now they had no choice but to wait.

Just then, the little figure on the boat suddenly leaped into the air with a whoosh, far from shore. Everyone's gaze followed him instinctively.

The little fellow, now midair, seemed completely taken aback by the crowd. In his shock, he lost control of his body.

He came down headfirst, sticking his upper body straight into the sand.

By the time he'd struggled to pull himself out, he looked a bit dazed.

"Hey, are you all here to study martial arts?"

Son Gohan eyed the little monk, who was looking at everyone with hostility, and rubbed his chin.

Krillin still needs a lot of work. He's nowhere near as well-behaved as he'll be when he grows up!

When everyone stayed silent, little monk Krillin's tone grew even harsher.

"Hey, are you all deaf? This is supposed to be where Master Roshi lives!"

Master Roshi's expression darkened at Krillin's rude outburst. But before he could say anything, Son Gohan spoke up first.

"Hey, Goku, give this rude little brat a beating! Let's teach him some manners and show him how to be a civilized person!"

"Sure!"

Son Goku happily agreed. There were few times he wouldn't listen to Son Gohan.

"Hey, you! D-don't come any closer! I'm really strong!"

When Son Goku stepped out of the crowd toward him, Krillin warily took two steps back.

"Oh, really?"

Hearing that he was up against a strong fighter, Son Goku cheered.

"Then let's fight!"

With that, Son Goku leaped into the air and charged straight at Krillin.

As a fierce gust came rushing toward him, Krillin instinctively raised his Arhat Fist to defend himself.

Son Goku had never learned any set techniques. He just used Rock Paper Scissors along with a flurry of wild punches. For a while, the two fought fiercely, neither able to gain the upper hand.

But it didn't last. Krillin's small frame was a disadvantage, and he soon ran out of stamina. His moves began to falter. Meanwhile, Son Goku only got more excited as they fought, as if he could keep going all day!

After another twenty moves, Krillin could only defend himself. He hunched over, desperately shielding his head and other vulnerable spots with his arms, trying to keep his face from getting hit.

But Son Goku showed him no mercy. He hammered Krillin in the face with punch after punch. In no time, Krillin's head was covered in bumps, and a few red handprints could even be seen on one cheek.

It was only because Son Gohan had taught Son Goku not to use the more dangerous scissors attack on people that Krillin escaped with his eyes intact!

Seeing the little bald head fleeing with his arms over his head, Son Goku stopped the fight on his own. There was no point in continuing.

"Kid, take this as friendly advice: remember to be polite when you meet people. Otherwise, you'll get beaten up again!"

Son Gohan stepped forward and gave him a lecture.

"And who are you? Think you can fight?"

Krillin was confident in his own strength. Son Goku had beaten him, but he refused to believe there could be anyone else here stronger than him!

"I trained at Shaolin Temple for years!"

He silently psyched himself up, caught his breath, and prepared to fight again.

"Forget it. You're in no shape to fight me, and I don't feel like picking on you. Come back when you can beat Goku."

Son Gohan found the hotheaded little monk rather tiresome, so he called on Master Roshi to finish things off.

"Hey, Master Roshi, he's here for you. Don't you have anything to say?"

"Ahem. My, Goku's gotten even stronger since I last saw him!"

After a brief exclamation, Master Roshi stepped forward too.

"Kid, you're pretty strong. Unfortunately, I've already got enough students, and I'm not taking any more. Go back to where you came from!"
