Vegeta had it especially rough.
If Goku and Piccolo hadn't grown stronger, they might still have been a match for him.
But their strength had long since surpassed his.
He was getting beaten senseless. It was only to be expected.
"So, Vegeta, are you still going to try to convince them?"
Ji Yun looked at Vegeta sympathetically.
The two of them didn't have any deep-seated grudges.
He might as well go back to Earth with them. Perhaps he'd have better prospects there in the future.
"No! Way!"
Vegeta ground out through clenched teeth.
After suffering such humiliation, he still had his pride. He'd rather die than agree to Ji Yun's demands.
"Fine, then. Don't you want the Dragon Balls?"
"There are some on Earth. They can only grant one wish, though."
"Fortunately, they don't belong to anyone, and finders keepers. If you don't want them, forget it."
Ji Yun spoke regretfully.
Hearing this, Vegeta perked up. It seemed he had hope again.
The Dragon Balls on Namek were great and all.
But they were scattered among the various elders.
Even if he gathered them all, he'd need to know the Namekian language to use them.
And with that bastard Nail around, making a wish was nothing but a pipe dream.
"W-well, actually, I'm in."
Vegeta stammered.
It seemed he'd set aside his princely dignity, lured in by the enormous temptation.
Ji Yun broke into a triumphant smile.
"Good. Then it's settled!"
Ji Yun smiled.
And so, under Ji Yun's watchful gaze, everyone boarded the spaceship and headed for Earth.
"Finally, they're gone."
Ji Yun watched the spaceship recede into the distance.
He breathed a sigh of relief.
At last, he'd gotten them to leave.
Next, Ji Yun didn't waste any time.
He began trying to sense the ki on Earth.
To use Instant Transmission, he needed a target to lock onto.
Unfortunately, Earth was incredibly far from Namek.
Ji Yun only knew roughly which direction it was in.
Actually finding it was easier said than done.
"Found it."
After searching for most of the day, Ji Yun finally pinpointed Earth's location.
He placed his fingers against his forehead.
In an instant, Ji Yun vanished from the spot.
There was no trace of Ji Yun's ki left on Namek.
What the hell? Where am I? This is so unreliable!
Looking at the scenery before him, Ji Yun couldn't help cursing.
He hadn't arrived on Earth.
Instead, he'd landed on a planet full of lava and storms.
Howling winds swept across the sky, lava spewed from the ground, and the air reeked of Carbon Dioxide and Sulfuric Acid.
It was like hell on Earth.
Ji Yun found it increasingly difficult to breathe.
Although his Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline let him survive in space, more or less,
even he couldn't handle such a hostile environment.
Whoosh!
Ji Yun didn't have time to think.
He used Instant Transmission and fled the planet.
"Hm? This place doesn't seem right either!"
Ji Yun frowned and muttered to himself.
This was a frigid gas giant.
It was so cold that the gases on its surface had frozen solid.
"Is this thing even going to work?"
Unable to take it anymore, Ji Yun grumbled.
Since it wasn't something the system had provided, its margin for error was ridiculously small.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Ji Yun tried several more times.
He was getting more and more skilled at using Instant Transmission.
At last.
After countless attempts,
he finally made it back to the Earth he'd dreamed of returning to.
The people nearby stared at the man who'd appeared out of nowhere, their faces full of curiosity.
A whole week had passed since he'd left Namek.
He'd traveled across countless planets.
His clothes were already in tatters,
and he looked like a beggar.
Ji Yun paid no attention to the stares and headed straight for Capsule Corp.
"I, Ji Yun, have finally come back!"
Ji Yun strode toward the entrance.
The guards at the gate frowned and stopped him outside.
"Shoo! This isn't the place for you to beg. Go somewhere else!"
The guards shouted at him.
They had clearly mistaken Ji Yun for a beggar.
Ji Yun: "I..."
Although the guards had turned him away, he didn't plan to make an issue of it.
After all, his appearance really was a mess.
Then, Ji Yun activated the Flash Time Skill.
He vanished from sight in an instant.
The guards stood there dumbfounded, with no idea what had happened.
How could a person just disappear into thin air?
By then, Ji Yun had already returned to the home he knew so well.
The Flash Time Skill only lasted 0.1 seconds,
but that was more than enough time for Ji Yun to circle around the outside of the company.
"Darling, I missed you so much!"
Ji Yun suddenly appeared behind Bulma.
He wrapped his arms around her as she stood there, lost in thought.
Bulma was startled for a moment, but once she recognized him, tears of joy welled in her eyes.
The two embraced tightly.
Deep in the universe, on a planet of lush scenery and pleasant views,
"What? You're saying Frieza was killed?"
King Cold stared in shock at the report from his subordinate.
"Y-yes, King Cold."
"After investigating for several days, we confirmed that King Frieza was indeed killed."
The subordinate delivering the report spoke with a trembling voice, not daring to breathe too loudly.
"Who did it? Do we have any information?"
King Cold regained his composure, but his expression remained grave.
His son was extremely ambitious. If King Cold hadn't kept him in check,
Frieza would have rebelled against him long ago.
But, in the end, Frieza was still his son.
The Frost Demon clan wouldn't let his murder go unanswered.
"Yes. King Frieza was searching for something called the Dragon Balls on Namek..."
The subordinate gave a detailed account of everything he knew.
"So Frieza was killed on Namek."
King Cold spoke coldly.
"Yes, that's right!" the subordinate hurriedly replied.
"That can't be right. I know how strong the Namekians are. They couldn't have killed Frieza. There must have been others involved."
King Cold's expression was solemn.
He knew how strong Frieza was. The Namekians alone couldn't possibly have been a match for him.
"That's right, King Cold."
"Our special detectors picked up a group of people arriving on Namek."
"After King Frieza died, that group left."
"We've already traced their route."
The subordinate truthfully reported the information he'd gathered.
At the same time, a huge, circular spacecraft appeared on the screen behind him.
It was the very ship Ji Yun and the others had taken to Namek.
"Hmph!"
King Cold stared fixedly at the spacecraft and snorted.
