"You want me to go, and I'll go."

"If you don't want me to go, then I won't."

Ji Yun said with a cheeky grin.

"Hmph, you're sure being obedient now."

Bulma gave a soft snort, then continued, "Then go, but be careful!"

Bulma knew Ji Yun was the sort who couldn't sit still.

No matter what happened on Earth, he always had to get involved.

"Got it!"

Ji Yun stood up with a smile.

"Ding! Cell intends to absorb Android 18. Host, please make a choice!"

"Choice one: turn a blind eye and remain free of desire. Reward: Vegeta's ultimate super move, Final Flash!"

"Choice two: kill Cell and become the goddess's guardian. Reward: the God of Destruction's unremarkable ability, Hakai (incomplete version)!"

Just as Ji Yun was about to teleport to the battlefield,

the system's notification rang out, issuing a new task.

"I... I choose two!"

Ji Yun's expression grew excited.

He made his choice decisively in his mind.

Final Flash? Wasn't that just a giant Kamehameha? Calling it Vegeta's ultimate super move made it sound pretty impressive, though.

Hakai? Damn! That was the God of Destruction's ability! And they were calling it unremarkable?

For a moment, Ji Yun suspected that the system had malfunctioned!

"Host's choice confirmed: kill Cell."

"Once the task is completed, the system reward will be issued automatically!"

The system's notification rang out again.

"Oh my god, just thinking about it gets me excited. I'm about to have the God of Destruction's ability!"

Ji Yun stood still, his expression eager as he thought.

"Ji Yun, what's wrong? Are you all right?"

Bulma looked at Ji Yun, who was frozen in place and grinning foolishly, and asked with concern.

"Oh? I'm fine. I just find this energy familiar."

"I didn't expect that after killing him in the future, I'd have to do it again now."

Although he hadn't been able to defeat the monster in front of him at first, he had then trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber at Kami's Lookout.

His strength had grown even further. He even considered himself to have surpassed the Super Saiyan level.

"Can you really stand by and watch a living person get absorbed by that monster?"

Krillin shouted at the top of his lungs.

In truth, he was trying so hard partly for selfish reasons.

The moment he first saw Android 18, he'd felt his heart stir.

"What?!"

Goku was shocked to hear this!

He had no idea. He'd been training in seclusion until now.

He'd only just arrived, and the Cell he'd met had already absorbed Android 17.

Even after absorbing Android 17, Cell still wasn't a match for Goku.

Goku had only agreed to let him try after hearing that Cell could grow even stronger. He hadn't expected that he would have to absorb the androids.

"Is that true, Vegeta?"

Goku demanded of Vegeta.

The androids had been created to kill him.

And now Goku was actually protecting her!

"Kakarot, get out of my way!"

Vegeta angrily kicked Goku aside.

He was now so arrogant that he didn't believe even Perfect Form Cell could defeat him.

Goku refused to back down, and the two immediately began brawling.

Seeing his chance, Cell wore an excited expression and slowly approached the horrified Android 18.

"Android 18, it's your turn. I've missed you so much I'm going crazy!"

Cell grinned viciously.

Beside Android 18 stood a tall, red-haired man.

He was Android 16. A piece of his head had been knocked away, exposing a mass of wires.

The two were leaning against each other.

"Android 18, hurry and run! Don't let him catch you!"

Android 16 quickly warned her.

But it was too late. Cell had already reached Android 18.
