"It's over!"
When Krillin saw Cell approaching Android 18, he thought in despair.
When he saw Goku step forward, his heart leaped with joy.
Goku was still the same Goku, still just as kind.
But that damned Vegeta had actually stepped in to stop him.
The two were still battling fiercely in the air.
"Damn it, I won't let you get away with this!"
Android 16 slowly got to his feet.
He started fighting Cell.
But he was no match for Cell anymore.
He was defeated in no time.
"Stop resisting, Android 16."
"I have no interest in you. If you insist on courting death..."
"I can send you on your way first..."
Cell stared at Android 16 expressionlessly.
Android 16 was stronger than Android 17 and Android 18.
If Cell could absorb him, his strength would increase tremendously.
Unfortunately, Android 16 was a robot and couldn't be absorbed.
"Damn you, you disgusting creep! Get away from him!"
When Android 18 saw Android 16 knocked down again,
she darted over to Cell and pummeled him with punches and kicks.
But Android 18's attacks barely made Cell feel a thing.
They had no effect at all.
Thud!
Cell kicked Android 18 in the stomach.
The blow sent her flying, and she crashed hard into a boulder.
"Give up, Android 18!"
"You were created to become my nourishment!"
Cell sneered, then used Instant Transmission to appear in front of Android 18.
His tail suddenly rose behind him, its tiny opening rapidly widening.
Like an enormous suction cup, it descended toward Android 18!

Android 18 panicked, but she was also deeply unwilling to give up.

Vegeta and Goku heard it and immediately broke apart, ending their struggle.

"Show yourself!"
Vegeta shouted angrily.
How dare someone play mysterious tricks in front of him? They must have a death wish!
Why does that voice sound so familiar?
Goku wondered.
The voice seemed familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before.
Almost everyone froze for a moment and began searching for its source.
Only Cell kept moving. He slowed down slightly when he heard the voice.
But whoever it was, nothing could stop him from absorbing Android 18.
That was the most important thing.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, something cut through the air.
Just as Cell's tail was about to touch Android 18,
a figure appeared in front of her the next instant.
He grabbed Cell's tail.
A calm voice followed.
"I said to put what you're doing on hold. Don't you understand?"
The hand gripping Cell's tail lifted it, then swung it down with force, slamming Cell into the ground.
"Who is that?!"
At that moment, everyone's eyes turned toward the newcomer.
Anyone who could stop Cell in his tracks was no ordinary person. Could Earth still have a hidden powerhouse?
That was what everyone thought at the same time.
Then Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Krillin saw a familiar face.
"Ji Yun!"
Nearly everyone cried out at once.
They hadn't expected Ji Yun to reappear after being gone for seven months.

Android 18 also turned to look at the handsome young man in front of her.
"So it's you, after all!"
Vegeta was the first to speak.

Ji Yun glanced at him and replied calmly.
"You arrogant bastard! Don't think that because you got the drop on me, you can walk all over me!"
Cell's expression changed.
Android 18 was right in front of him. He was just about to become the strongest, Perfect Form.
No one could stop him!
"Oh? Is that so?"
Ji Yun sneered.
Suddenly, it was as if the world skipped a beat.
No one noticed.
Ji Yun stood motionless where he was, while Cell clutched his stomach and dropped to one knee.
"When did..."
Cell's eyes widened like saucers.
He had no idea when he'd been attacked.
All he felt was a sharp pain in his stomach.
Then his legs buckled on their own. The pain was simply too intense!
Ji Yun looked at Cell, who was sprawled on the ground, and paid him no further attention.
"Hey, Goku! Long time no see."
Ji Yun waved up at Goku in the sky like an old friend.
When Goku saw Ji Yun greeting him,
he immediately descended and leaped over to Ji Yun.
"Long time no see, Ji Yun."
"Wh-what happened to him all of a sudden...?"
Goku greeted Ji Yun too.
He also asked curiously about Cell, who was kneeling on the ground.
Cell looked like he was in a lot of pain. He'd been fine just moments ago, so how had he suddenly ended up like this?
"Uh, it's nothing."
"I told him to shut up, but he wouldn't listen and insisted on trading a few blows with me."
"So I humored him. Who knew he'd give out after just three or four hundred punches?"
"He's probably reflecting on his life now!"
Ji Yun explained casually.

Vegeta, especially, shook his head in disbelief as soon as Ji Yun said it.
How could it be? You punched Cell three or four hundred times, and I didn't notice a thing?
