Night fell, and stars dotted the sky.
After dinner,
Dan almost forgot that his brother-in-law, Fugaku, had arranged to meet him in the secret room at Naka Shrine that night. He'd said there was something important to discuss.
So he told Samui, "I'm heading out. You should clock off early and get some rest."
"Take care, Gym Director."
Samui stood respectfully at the entrance, watching Dan walk out of the alley.
Then,
her gaze turned cold. She immediately shut the doors to the Fitness Gym and returned to her room to organize the major intelligence she had gathered that day.
Afterward, she summoned a ninja hawk and sent it back to the Cloud Hidden Village on an urgent overnight flight.
The moonlight was cold and clear.
Dan returned to Naka Shrine.
When he entered the underground secret room, he saw a brazier burning. Fugaku stood with his back to him before the Uchiha Clan's stone tablet, studying the writing.
It seemed he'd been waiting for some time.
"Dan, you're here."
Fugaku turned around and pointed at the stone tablet. Getting straight to the point, he said, "I asked you here because I want you to take a look at this. It's a revelation our Uchiha ancestors left for their descendants a thousand years ago."
"I can't read what's written on it." Dan glanced at the stone tablet, seemingly unimpressed.
Fugaku gave him a mysterious smile and beckoned him closer. "Come closer and look with your Sharingan."
Fine.
Dan didn't want to spoil his brother-in-law's excitement. He walked over to the stone tablet, activated his Sharingan, and studied the rows of vertical black writing carved into it.
Through his Sharingan,
the mysterious characters suddenly began to move, twisting like tadpoles in no discernible pattern. They were impossible to decipher.
"So it's
