Background / History
The Uchiha trace their lineage to the Sage of Six Paths. Their shrine’s stone tablet records Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, the Sage’s origin, and the clan’s connection to his bloodline; the later Uchiha–Senju feud is attributed to the recurring conflict between Indra and Ashura’s chakra. 61 292
As one of Konoha’s founding clans, the Uchiha were later marginalized through their assignment to the Police Force. The clan regarded the force as a cage that consumed its members’ talent while isolating them from the village, and repeated budget cuts left Police Force personnel owed over 65 million ryō in wages. 86 88 93
Before its split from Konoha, the clan was divided between Yashiro’s Radical Faction, which favored force and a possible coup, and Shisui’s Moderate Faction, which sought dialogue with the village leadership. Fugaku stood between the two groups as Clan Head. 6
After surrendering the Police Force to the Hyūga Clan, the Uchiha established the Meat Modification Department at their compound and increasingly trained as an independent force. They subsequently left Konoha to raid the Mountain Graveyard, recover clan records and techniques, and confront the forces connected to Madara’s legacy. 88 89 93 94
The Mountain Graveyard operation became a turning point: the clan acquired military resources, began Hashirama Cell research with Tsunade, and brought Tobi into its ranks through Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami. 98 102 103
Following their rupture with Konoha, the clan searched the southern seas for a homeland and settled on Heaven Island. When the allied villages located the island, the Uchiha abandoned it as a fixed base, used Kamui to shelter five hundred non-combatants, and shifted to mobile warfare. 205 214
The Uchiha later fought the Ninja World Allied Forces, routed a three-thousand-man army in under half an hour, captured Yugito Nii and the Two-Tails, and destroyed Sunagakure while controlling multiple Tailed Beasts through Mangekyō Sharingan. 216 219 After defeating the wider alliance, they initially rejected returning to Konoha, but accepted only after Konoha’s clan heads petitioned them for leadership. 243 245

Abilities & Skills
Sharingan
The Sharingan is the clan’s principal kekkei genkai. It grants enhanced dynamic vision, perception of chakra flow, genjutsu resistance and use, and the ability to copy techniques. 32 42
- Three-Tomoe Sharingan users are regarded as Jōnin-class combatants. 42

Mangekyō Sharingan
The Mangekyō is the evolved form beyond the Three-Tomoe Sharingan. Its abilities vary by wielder and can include genjutsu, black flames, teleportation, amplification, and Tailed Beast control. 48 165 203
- Mangekyō users can manifest Susanoo, a chakra guardian with exceptional offense and defense. 48
- The clan’s Mangekyō users coordinate their individual techniques rather than fighting independently. 165
- Mangekyō Sharingan can control even the Nine-Tails, making the clan a threat to every Jinchūriki-bearing village. 203
- Repeated use risks exhausting pupil power; without sufficient Yang Release, users can eventually go blind. 90
Fire Release
Fire Release is a defining Uchiha specialty and a major source of the clan’s commercial and battlefield power. 86 96
- Coordinated Great Fireball Techniques can incinerate large formations of White Zetsu. 96
- Uchiha-made explosive tags, crafted with Fire Release chakra, are considered premium equipment. 86 212
- Fire Release talent is reflected in Mangekyō techniques such as Amaterasu. 165
Wood Style and Hashirama Cells

- Fugaku demonstrates Wood Style: Violent Spear Technique after his transplant. 113
- Stronger Sharingan users are believed to be better suited to adapt to the cells’ Yang Release. 105
- One hundred recipients form the clan’s core wartime force. 212
- Hashirama Cell regeneration supports prolonged Sharingan use and enhances pupil power. 233
Susanoo
Susanoo is the Mangekyō Sharingan’s ultimate pupil technique: a materialized chakra guardian regarded by the clan as its “God’s Power.” 48
- Shisui initially manifests a skeletal, semi-transparent Susanoo wielding a spiraling longsword. 48
- Fugaku, Itachi, Tekka, and Chishuko later field Susanoo in coordinated warfare. 216
- The clan’s Susanoo formation overwhelms the Allied Forces and becomes known as its “Gundam” unit. 216
