Obito's side had been disappointing. After his Genjutsu clone and the real Obito sealed him inside Yellow Springs Space, Rei had gained no substantial resources.
Worse, Yellow Springs Space had closed and couldn't be opened again for a while.
All he could do was hope Obito starved to death in there soon.

By comparison, sealing Uchiha Itachi had brought Rei a rich haul.
Not only had he managed to collect all three of the legendary Three Sacred Treasures,
but Itachi had personally wiped out the elite members of the Uchiha Patrol Squad. Their bodies, each bearing a Three-Tomoe Sharingan, had now become valuable resources in Rei's hands.
Those eyes would be precious assets in the future, whether as experimental material or as extra lives.
