Sword Leap Flame: Modified and Learning the Lightning Release Technique

To be more precise, it should be called Sword Leap Flame: Modified!

Uchiha Shisui's three sword techniques, ordered from easiest to hardest, are Sword Leap Flame, Gale Sword, and Sun Halo Dance!

Sword Leap Flame uses a tachi to unleash Fire Release, forming a blade of flames to strike the enemy. It is a sword technique primarily focused on the fire element, though it incorporates some characteristics of the wind element.

Gale Sword builds upon Sword Leap Flame by incorporating the Body Flicker Technique. It involves continuously gathering momentum during a high-speed charge, increasing explosive power to unleash a faster, more powerful giant flame blade upon the opponent.

Sun Halo Dance is essentially a powered-up version of Gale Sword. When combined with the Body Flicker Technique, it allows the user to unleash three consecutive, massive, glowing flame slashes in an instant!

Since Sasuke has not yet mastered Shisui's Body Flicker Technique, he naturally has to start by learning the first of the three sword techniques: Sword Leap Flame.

However, a difficult problem stood before him: he did not possess wind-style chakra!

This was a very awkward situation for him. While Sword Leap Flame is indeed a sword technique primarily based on Uchiha Style swordsmanship and Fire Release, Shisui had incorporated wind-style chakra characteristics to increase its speed and power, as wind fuels fire.

It is common knowledge that both wind and lightning are attributes known for their speed; one is light and nimble, the other is swift and agile.

As for incorporating the lightning attribute, Sasuke has not even learned basic lightning-style ninjutsu yet, so how could he possibly incorporate the characteristics of lightning-style chakra?

However, this did not stump Sasuke. Since he lacked wind-style chakra, he chose another path: specializing in strengthening the fire-style chakra of Sword Leap Flame and incorporating techniques from Iaijutsu!

Iaijutsu is a sword technique that involves drawing the blade in an instant to strike before the enemy can find an opening. This type of sword skill could be considered common, as it is just a simple draw-slash, yet it is easy to learn but difficult to master!

A tachi and its scabbard have a certain curvature. Iaijutsu utilizes the friction generated between the blade and the scabbard during the draw to create a sudden, powerful burst of force, following the blade's natural curve to deliver a lethal strike!

After completing these two steps, Sasuke believed that at an equivalent level of strength, his Sword Leap Flame: Modified was not at all inferior to Shisui's original version, and even exceeded it in terms of explosive power!

"To a certain extent, this counts as me modifying a technique."

After sheathing his tachi, Sasuke muttered to himself while looking at the small rockery in the distance, a rare sense of genuine joy and accomplishment appearing in his tone.

The Lightning Release Chakra Mode of the Raikage line is even stronger, as it strengthens the entire body and even the brain's reflex nerves.

It is worth noting that Kakashi's Chidori does not have the effect of strengthening reflex nerves. However, the Sasuke of that time had not mastered any basic Lightning Release ninjutsu; at the very least, neither the manga nor the anime showed any signs of Sasuke knowing Lightning Release ninjutsu before learning the Chidori.
