Background / History

After the Uchiha clan massacre, Sasuke decides he cannot stop the event with his current strength and refuses to trust the Third Hokage, believing him aware of the plot. He instead retrieves his parents' eyes, prioritizing Fugaku's presumed Mangekyō Sharingan, while concealing his actions from surveillance. 3

He evaluates his advantages over his original counterpart—foreknowledge, a Three-Tomoe Sharingan, enhanced visual perception, and spare Sharingan taken from close relatives—and makes the Eternal Mangekyō his primary objective. To achieve it independently, he begins increasing his spiritual energy and studying medical ninjutsu for self-transplantation. 5

Sasuke sells much of the Uchiha inheritance to finance an extreme training program, chakra-metal weapons, medicinal support, and rare nutritional food. He trains almost continuously through physical conditioning, weapons practice, ninjutsu, study, and reflection. 6
