Background & History

Robb was the eldest Stark son and heir to Winterfell. Before the war, he was close with Garon Glover, welcoming him to Winterfell and proudly introducing Grey Wind, his direwolf. He had begun learning lordship from Ned Stark and was impressed by Garon’s concern for his own soldiers. 1

At Winterfell, Robb introduced Garon—already approved as Sansa’s fiancé—to Bran, Rickon, and Jon. He openly called Jon his brother and praised Jon’s superior swordsmanship, demonstrating both familial loyalty and a lack of prejudice toward Jon’s bastard birth. 3
