Taking stock
Thinking of the two Zerg God-level souls inside the Shadow Servant, David's heart burned with excitement.
He was even considering whether he should revive the two Zerg God-level beings. With Black Dragon Alexis added in, having three God-level beings at his side would leave him with nothing to fear.
With a gesture, David summoned the Shadow Servant to his side and placed a hand on its shoulder.
His consciousness entered the Shadow Servant's body, where he saw two balls of golden light. When his consciousness tried to approach them, however, he sensed roars coming from within the golden light.
But this was inside the Shadow Servant, so there was no need to worry about danger. David approached one of the balls of golden light and examined it closely.
Within the golden light, a tiny Blade Mantis Emperor was shouting in furious indignation.
Any God-level being who had cultivated for countless millennia, only to fall at the hands of a Demigod—and be killed by a blade shed from its own body—would be too aggrieved to rest in peace. The Blade Mantis Emperor was no exception.
David watched the tiny Blade Mantis Emperor with interest. It was a phantom.
His connection with the Shadow Servant allowed him to sense its condition. Energy within the Shadow Servant was slowly eroding the golden light, and the Blade Mantis Emperor within was weakening at an extremely slow rate.
David had a feeling that once the Blade Mantis Emperor's shadow within the golden light was completely destroyed, he would be able to absorb this God-level soul.
Then again, God-level souls could not possibly be so easy to absorb.
