As David fell from midair, he realized his thoughts had become faster. He was not surprised at suddenly emerging from the small world; instead, he immediately took in the situation on the battlefield.

The lake beneath him had been split apart in an extremely bizarre manner. The water had completely defied the laws of physics, forcibly pushed aside by some mysterious power.

Plague God Gladstone's divine body lay in the mud at the bottom of the lake, and David could no longer sense Plague God Gladstone's aura.

There was no need to say more. He understood that the temples had killed Plague God Gladstone, which deeply shocked him. Plague God Gladstone had been overwhelmingly powerful, practically invincible.

Yet in the few seconds since David had been sent into the small world, Plague God Gladstone had already fallen.

David could fly on his own, but he did not control his body. Even his level-five spirit was fully restrained, allowing his body to fall freely.

At the same time, Shadow Servant flickered over to Plague God Gladstone's divine body and absorbed some energy from it. David was certain it was not ordinary soul energy, but he had no time to inspect it further.

David was caught by the energy avatar of a level-five Temple Knight and carried to the lakeshore. That was what had happened after he entered the small world.

"What happened to Temple Knight Annabella?" David asked after recovering some strength and getting back to his feet.

On the other side, Temple Knight Annabella was receiving divine arts from the level-five priest Heaviside. She still appeared to be in a weakened state.

"Our lord descended in person and slew Plague God Gladstone on the spot. What a pity you did not witness that divine battle!" Bishop McKinley said reverently.
