If Marshal Andre could name his political enemies now, David could help him eliminate them entirely.

"As long as my body holds up, those people are nothing but clowns!" Marshal Andre rose to his feet, fully displaying the imposing presence of the Military's foremost figure.

"I'm only free during this period. After that, I'll need to resume cultivating. If you want to find me then, you won't be able to!" David said with a smile.

"David, I know what you seek differs from what this old man wants. You seek the ultimate in personal strength, but I'm not trying to discourage you—no matter how powerful the Federation's Transcendents become, they cannot compare to the Knights of God's Great World. Today, Duke Arthur of God's Great World casually crushed to death the Transcendent retainer on the government's side. Even after watching the surveillance footage from the scene, it was hard to believe!" Marshal Andre hesitated before offering his advice.

David listened as Marshal Andre spoke about his other identity while he wore this one, and the feeling was exceedingly strange.

"I understand. How would I know whether a path works if I don't try it?" David nodded.

"I know you won't listen even if I try to persuade you. I'll grant you military intelligence access, so you won't be completely unaware of what's happening outside!" Marshal Andre said with a smile.

Marshal Andre assumed that David had only come specifically because he had heard about his health during a break from cultivation.

In truth, Marshal Andre's body had begun showing problems months ago. There was simply no way to keep such matters hidden within the Military, yet David had not learned of it until today. That meant there was a problem with David's channels for obtaining intelligence.
