Background / History

The Comparison Sky Screen descended over the Black World and White World, linking the two parallel Douluo worlds. It selected Black World Tang San—future Sea God and Asura God—and White World Tang Chuan—future God of Life and God of Destruction—as its first comparison subjects. 1

Its broadcasts expose each subject’s past, future, inner thoughts, cultivation, battles, and major decisions to viewers across both worlds. The first presentations included Tang San’s Tang Sect past and Tang Chuan’s former life in a modern world. 3 4 5

After each comparison stage, it opens a voting period, calculates approval percentages across the two worlds, declares a winner, and awards the victor. Tang Chuan repeatedly wins these votes by overwhelming margins, including 199% to 1% in the ninth-stage comparison. 54 157 262 364

Following the sixth-stage comparison, the Sky Screen directly asked Tang Chuan for advice on features that could expand its influence. 120 It later added a bullet-screen function through which viewers could send messages and tip comments during broadcasts. 131

The tenth-stage comparison concluded after showing Tang Chuan’s attainment of the Life and Destruction god positions, after which the Sky Screen opened voting and offered three selections from the original future footage as a reward. 439 440 It subsequently began the eleventh-stage comparison, continuing to compare Tang San and Tang Chuan. 445
