Lynch chatted with Mr. Azik for quite a while, then read some books at his place and got over two hours of free tutoring. After Mr. Azik's fondness for him turned to anger, he hurriedly left.
He was a little worried Mr. Azik might kill him. He was only a Sequence 9, after all!
Still, he believed Mr. Azik's opinion of him would improve again tomorrow. After all, he was probably a relative of Mr. Azik's from one of his past lives. Surely Mr. Azik wouldn't beat him to death just because he wanted to study?
Lynch walked down the street, amused.
Then he saw Megose again.
The lady was tugging back and forth with a young man who had black hair, brown eyes, and glasses. Megose seemed unhappy and wanted to take a carriage home, but the man was trying to stop her from getting back into it.

Lynch took out his Seventh Action Group identification and waved it in front of the man. He didn't particularly like Megose, but she was Mr. Azik's student, so he felt he ought to intervene.
Besides, Mr. Azik's assessment of Megose today had worried him a little. Mr. Azik clearly suspected something might happen to her, but he didn't know what might happen or when, so he had been unable to do anything.
Lynch suspected the lady had run into an extremist follower, and that was how she would get into trouble.
