After checking the combat-strength comparison provided by Insight Talent, Su Yu couldn't help feeling a little excited.
After all, who wouldn't want to be as strong as possible?

"So soon?" Su Yu had just been about to continue fishing when he suddenly heard the mechanical voice by his ear. Coming to his senses, he quickly glanced at the sky and saw that it was growing dark at a visible speed.
"Damn, did using six bottles of potion take that much time?" Su Yu raised his middle finger at the sky, then hurried into the Wooden Cabin and put on the Special Cold-Proof Suit.
Afterward, Su Yu stepped outside and set up the Solar Lamp. That was right—he was getting ready to fish at night. His basic mental attribute was now over four, and he felt alert, with not the slightest bit of sleepiness.
On top of that, his strength and constitution had increased considerably. Fishing today hadn't worn him out much, so he decided to try night fishing.
Before he began, though, Su Yu did as usual and opened the Communication Channel to see if there was any new information.
"Welp, here we go again. It's getting cold as hell."

"Fish my ass. How are we supposed to fish with no bait? If I hadn't picked up some supplies in the heavy rain today, I'd probably starve to death."
"Don't even get me started. My underwear's still wet."
"Gotta say, the odds of catching a better chest went up after the rain. I used my last two portions of bait and actually caught a one-and-a-half-star Wooden Treasure Chest."
"Damn, the treasure chest nearly dragged me underwater today. If I hadn't let go in time, I'd probably be dead."
"??? You let go? What happened to your Fishing Rod, then?"

After scanning the Communication Channel, Su Yu saw that most people were still in fairly good spirits.
That was only to be expected. Everyone's island was tiny, and it wasn't some uninhabited wilderness covered in dense forest where they had to worry about snakes, insects, rats, and the like.
For the first few days, as long as they weren't too stupid, most people could make it through the Newbie Seven-Day Protection Period. What would happen after those seven days, though, was anyone's guess.
As for why so many people chatted in the Communication Channel every day, it seemed more like a spiritual crutch. It helped them feel that they weren't all alone.
Meanwhile, most Survivors were still griping about how quickly Su Yu's island Prosperity Value was rising.
"Holy crap, who is the top-ranked big shot on the Prosperity Value leaderboard? What kind of god are they? Their island's Prosperity Value is shooting up like a rocket!"
"I worked my ass off to build a Thatched Cottage, and all I got was one point of Prosperity Value. I'm about to cry."
"Based on my deductions, the big shot definitely paid to cheat."

"Tsk, these people have some pretty wild imaginations." Seeing someone in the Communication Channel start guessing that he was cheating, Su Yu rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Of course, he had no intention of setting them straight. As long as he didn't tell anyone, who could know about his talent?
"I'm a regressor. I need a hundred portions of Common Bait as starting capital to open a treasure I know about. Everyone can pool their resources and give them to me. Once I get the treasure, I'll repay you a hundredfold."
Just as Su Yu was mulling things over, someone had actually started scamming people in the Communication Channel under the guise of being a regressor.
"I'm Qin Shi Huang. I never actually died. I've been living in my mausoleum all this time, and I survived until this transmigration. Hand over your bait to me, and I'll make sure you all survive this tribulation."

Meanwhile, the guy who'd started posting the scam messages was getting pretty frustrated.
"Damn it, did everyone download the Anti-Fraud App before they got transported here? No one's falling for it!" Honestly, he thought the limit of ten messages a day was holding him back. Otherwise, with his silver tongue, he was sure he could've conned some people out of their bait.
Just like before he was transported, when he'd scammed people who believed they could turn a few tens of thousands into 10.4 million. Good grief, this guy had apparently even been a pyramid-scheme ringleader.
"Don't fall for it, everyone. The people posting these messages are trying to scam you out of the bait you have left. Just ignore them." At least one person couldn't stand it and spoke up in the Communication Channel.
By then, Su Yu had grabbed something to eat and wolfed it down. Then he quickly walked to the edge of the island.
The Solar Lamp he'd propped up, along with the headlights of the two Toyota Sedans, lit up the entire island. The visibility was still nowhere near as good as it had been during the day, though.
Su Yu could only use the light to scan the sea close to the island. Any farther away, and Insight Talent stopped giving him information.

Honestly, he'd been fishing near his island for two days and hadn't seen a single living creature in the water, aside from the goblin he'd found in a treasure chest.
And now Insight Talent was telling him there was a living creature beneath the water. How could he not take that seriously?
Suddenly, a splash came from the water and caught Su Yu's attention. In the light, he caught a fleeting glimpse of the creature emerging from the water.
