The Special Warning Device in Su Yu's hand had sounded an alert.

"Yes."

After receiving Su Yu's command, the thing finally stopped flashing red. Su Yu glanced at the device in his hand, looked around, then tossed it into the Small Wooden Cabin.

After all that commotion, the sky had grown completely dark.

Luckily, as soon as the Goblins noticed the fading light, they promptly got a fire going and set up the Solar Lamp.

Su Yu's haul today hadn't consisted solely of the Five-Star Wooden Treasure Chest. He'd also gotten plenty of Two-Star Wooden Treasure Chests. He'd simply caught so many things in his nets that, unless he could use them right away, he'd thrown the rest into the Small Wooden Cabin.

After taking some food from the cabin, Su Yu left the fence and walked toward the fire.

Now that Su Yu's island covered 261 square meters, he'd sent the Goblins to sleep outside the Thorn Fence so they could keep watch.

He'd given each Goblin a Single-Person Tent and cold-weather supplies. They were loyal to him, after all, and Su Yu wasn't about to treat them poorly.

"Here's your dinner." Su Yu dropped off a bag of ready-to-eat food, then leisurely began strolling around the edge of the island again.

As for why he didn't eat with the Goblins, honestly, although he didn't find their looks all that off-putting, sharing a meal with them was another matter. Just looking at their faces made him lose his appetite.

"I caught too many during the day. Have they started replenishing the stock already?" Su Yu had searched the area and hadn't found a single Five-Star Wooden Treasure Chest. He rubbed his nose in disappointment.

"Forget it. I'll go back, eat something, and get to bed early." Su Yu shook his head and headed back to the Small Wooden Cabin, Fishing Rod in hand.

Su Yu quickly built a fire outside the cabin, set a pan over it, and started frying steak.

He had caught vegetables, too, but most of them were still inside treasure chests. He hadn't taken them out: he couldn't eat them all, and he couldn't be bothered to cook. It was easier to have some meat with fruit.

As for asking the Goblins to cook, Su Yu had dismissed that idea outright.

He fried seven or eight steaks at once. As his physical fitness improved, he'd found that his appetite was growing, too. Maybe he'd end up turning into a bottomless pit. If he didn't have plenty of supplies, he'd be hard-pressed to afford even a meal.

As he ate, Su Yu kept an eye on the Communication Channel. Every passing day meant one less day of the seven-day protection period, and all sorts of things could happen in the meantime.

"Help, I'm gonna die! I was taking a leak and, by the light of the moon, I could just make out a dark shadow on the sea staring at me. I got so scared I sucked my pee right back in. Could it be a monster?!"

"Bro, lose the 'could it be.' I guarantee it's a monster. Didn't one of the big shots in the previous top ten run into the same thing?"

Wang Teng: "I'm here, bro. I still don't know what that thing is, either. But it shouldn't attack the islands within seven days. After that, who knows?"

"Have lots of people already seen Sea Monkeys, or were they other creatures?" After browsing the messages in the Communication Channel, Su Yu couldn't help wondering.

After thinking it over, he typed out a message and posted it in the Communication Channel.

"There's a monster in the sea called a Sea Monkey. I don't know if it's what you saw. Its whole body is covered in scales, it's three or four times stronger than an ordinary person, it moves swiftly underwater, and it has basic intelligence. I killed one today."

As soon as Su Yu sent the message, the whole Communication Channel erupted.

Wang Teng: "Holy shit, big shot, you're amazing! Sea Monkeys really exist!"

"Now that I know what the thing is, I'm not as scared anymore. Thanks, number one, for sharing the info."

"Three or four times stronger than a normal person? Damn. If you fell into the water, it'd tear you apart!"

"Number one is terrifying! He actually killed a Sea Monkey. That's some insane badassery!"

"I just want to know how the big shot killed it. Did he go underwater to fight it? After all, these things shouldn't come ashore within seven days!"

"Could've shared this sooner. I've been scared out of my wits!"

"Are you an idiot? I bet it's because there are too many idiots like you that the big shot can't be bothered to talk in the Communication Channel."

Su Yu glanced at the many people bragging about him in the Communication Channel and didn't feel much of anything.

The information was about a monster that no longer posed a threat to him, so he had nothing to lose by sharing it. As for how many people could survive an encounter with a Sea Monkey, that was out of his hands. They'd just have to trust their luck. Life and death were fated; riches and honor were in the hands of heaven.

As for why he'd charged Wang Teng for the monster information earlier, it was because Su Yu didn't want that bastard thinking he was a free source of information. Otherwise, the guy would pester him to death later.
