Once he came to his senses, Su Yu leapt off the roof and sprinted toward the southeast, beyond the Thorn Fence.

The Goblins who were still awake swarmed after him.

Su Yu had just reached the island's southeastern edge when, by the light of the Solar Lamps and the moon, he spotted another Sea Monkey on the surface of the water, glaring at him with a savage expression.

Watching the waves rise in the sea, Su Yu stood motionless on the Speedboat, saber in hand.

With his Insight Talent, there was no chance the female Sea Monkey could sneak up on him, even if it dove underwater. Its only option was to face him head-on.

Then came the sound of something breaking the surface. A large Sea Monkey leapt high out of the water, looking overwhelmingly imposing in the moonlight.

The Hundred-Refined Goose-Quill Saber in Su Yu's hand caught the moonlight, a faint glimmer of cold steel visible along its edge.

As the Sea Monkey pounced at him, Su Yu gripped the saber in one hand and swung upward in a single slash.

In an instant, the two collided at incredible speed. But this time, Su Yu didn't kill it in one blow. The Sea Monkey actually managed to block his slash.

Perhaps it had sensed that its life was in danger, or perhaps something else had happened. In mid-pounce, the Sea Monkey raised both hands to shield its front, so Su Yu's slash failed to kill the slightly frenzied creature outright.
