Meanwhile, the strength Zong Shen had displayed earlier had reached at least the mid-stage Demigod level.

He called softly.

Hamis hurried over to him and answered fawningly.
Zong Shen looked up at the fellow, then pointed at the divine jade he had placed beside him.
"Put Penny down first, then take this divine jade and subdue those church believers below."
"Don't worry. As long as you carry this thing, the people of the church won't attack you."
He gave the instructions earnestly.
Hamis did not dare delay after hearing this. It first knelt on its forelegs and set Penny down.
Then it went over to the divine jade and carried it on its back.
Flames ignited beneath its four hooves, and it strode through the air toward the church.
Penny Lancaster was wrapped in a thick fur coat,
