As for [Compensation Option VII], it was actually fairly mediocre.
It granted 10 million Denar in one lump sum, plus one opportunity to upgrade a building.
At present, the highest-ranked building in Zong Shen's territory was [Thunder Domain Wonder (Incomplete)], a rank above epic buildings but below complete wonder buildings.
However, it did not need upgrading at all; it merely lacked some Lightning Element materials.
Zong Shen could use the Strategy Module to search for them. So long as he put his mind to gathering them, he would eventually be able to complete it.
If he upgraded an epic building, at most it would only rise to wonder rank. Zong Shen might as well choose [Compensation IV] and directly take a complete wonder with him.
But if he used the building upgrade opportunity on the [Red Gold Barrier Pillar (Gold)], wouldn't he obtain a wonder-tier territorial defense building?
At that thought, he changed his mind again and added [Compensation Option VII] to his shortlist.
He directly passed over the later [Compensation Option VIII] as well. A transcendent-tier skill would, at most, grant him a seventh- or eighth-tier skill. The higher the tier, the more powerful the skill's effects became, sometimes even involving the underlying laws of the world.
However, the corresponding cooldown after using such skills was also quite long.
Compared with obtaining a transcendent-tier skill, he would rather have the Defense Challenge rewards boosted.
There was plenty of time ahead. Zong Shen remained confident in his future. A mere Defense Challenge was nothing worth mentioning. Once he got out, there would still be countless places across the Endless Continent—a land filled with Ruins—waiting for him to explore.
Lastly, there was [Compensation Option IX], which left him somewhat torn.
