With a soft chime, the glass doors silently slid open to either side.
Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Gu Yue looked at one another.
"East Sea Little Wu Zhangkong?"
The title left them secretly tongue-tied.
Beyond the glass doors lay a pristine white floor set against deep-blue walls. Soft white light spilled down, making the entire space look exceptionally clean and crisp, yet there was still no one in sight.
A circular metal platform silently slid before them, bearing four neatly arranged metal wristbands.
"Put them on." Wu Zhangkong was as concise as ever.
Xie Xie curiously fiddled with a wristband. "Teacher Wu, what are these for?"
"Identity verification." Wu Zhangkong glanced at him. "They ensure the Defense System won't identify you as intruders."
Xie Xie exclaimed in amazement, "This place looks seriously high-tech!"
Wu Zhangkong said nothing more and led the four of them farther inside.
As they passed through the second glass door, bright blue light swept over them once again. This time, there was no voice prompt; the metal rings on their wrists merely flickered before returning to normal.
Beyond the door was a winding passage. After several turns and another glass door, Wu Zhangkong, who was walking at the front, suddenly vanished in a flash of light.
Tang Wulin and the other two instinctively stopped.
"Spatial technology?"
Xie Xie gasped in shock.
Born into a prominent family, he knew the continent's technological standards quite well. Spatial technology was clearly still in the research stage and far from practical application. Yet what he had just seen...
"Keep moving forward." Wu Zhangkong's voice came from all directions.
Tang Wulin glanced at his companions and took the first step forward.
The moment he entered the area where Wu Zhangkong had disappeared, a strange energy instantly enveloped his entire body.
