More than ten years after Sarutobi Toru resolved to strengthen the Shinobi World against the Otsutsuki, Konoha had unified the world and transformed it through peace, technology, and education. The chapter ended with Root thriving as an intelligence and elite force in a modernized Konoha.

• Sarutobi Toru accepted that he could not find Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and decided to give the Shinobi World time to develop while keeping his Space-Time Beacon as a last resort.
• Over a decade passed as Konoha unified the Shinobi World, reduced the Daimyo to figureheads, and made the other Great Ninja Villages subordinate bases led by Sarutobi Toru's allies.
• Konoha's schools and textbooks named the peaceful period the New Era, while new technology reshaped the village into a city of skyscrapers and aerial maglev cars.

Temari, Gaara, and Kankuro arrived in Konoha and learned that a battle between two academy graduates had drawn a crowd. They saw the fighters clash as a gigantic Wooden Arhat and a Chakra Susanoo, leaving Gaara wary and Kankuro stunned by their power.

• Kankuro marveled at Konoha while Gaara and Temari mocked his interest in classic Puppet Design and urged him to consider Intelligent Puppet Design.
• Temari asked Ebisu about the commotion, and he explained that two of the academy's greatest young geniuses were fighting.
• Gaara and Temari recognized who the crowd had come to watch and headed toward the battle with Kankuro.
• The siblings sensed powerful Chakra ahead, and Kankuro questioned whether academy graduates could truly possess such strength.
• Two enormous figures, a Wooden Arhat and a Chakra Susanoo, rose above the Training Ground and clashed as a blue Chakra Shield blocked the shockwaves.
• Gaara carried the siblings over the Training Ground wall on sand, where he and Kankuro watched the two fighters and realized how formidable they had become.

Naruto Namikaze and Sasuke competed in a sparring match, each unveiling a new technique. Sasuke won by teleporting Susanoo behind Naruto’s Wooden Arhat, then concealed how badly the maneuver had drained him.

• Naruto Namikaze empowered his Wooden Arhat with the Sage Art Yin Seal and Mysterious Peacock Method: Armor, then attacked with six Sage Art Rasengan.
• Sasuke surrounded Susanoo with Chidori Stream and used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport behind Naruto’s Wooden Arhat and split it in half.
• Naruto conceded the sparring match, and Sasuke let his exhausted Susanoo disappear while hiding his weakness.

At the Hokage’s Office, the Kage gathered after an intimate interlude with Sarutobi Toru, and Kurotsuchi said she might succeed the absent Tsuchikage in a year or two.

• Naruto Namikaze complained that Minato had taught Sasuke the Flying Thunder God Technique, while Sasuke’s Mangekyō Sharingan had made it practical for him to use in combat.
• Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara discussed how powerful Konoha’s young ninja were, and Gaara said Sasuke, Naruto, and Neji were roughly equal without their special techniques.
• Gaara and the others left the Training Ground to observe the visiting villages and gather intelligence ahead of the Chunin Selection.

• Kurotsuchi attended the meeting as part of the Tsuchikage's Shadow Guard with Deidara, who had devoted himself to establishing a new Explosion Corps.
• Sarutobi Toru heard the Land of Lightning report that Victor and chief scientist Amado had founded a bio-company called Kara, and he recognized it as a lead on Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.

He later infiltrated Kara’s headquarters in the Land of Lightning to investigate Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, reaching the company’s hidden underground levels.

• Sarutobi Toru asked Temari about Gaara’s evolved sand gourd, and she explained that only Gaara could use the relic left by her mother and Shamon.
• Sarutobi Toru recalled destroying his Kinnara Clone five years earlier after it had helped raise Temari and her siblings, then spent time with Temari.

Sarutobi Toru discovered Kara’s research facilities, captured Chief Researcher Amado, and used him to enter the organization’s Pocket Dimension. There he attacked Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, who became fixated on taking Sarutobi Toru’s body as his new vessel.

• Sarutobi Toru found a Minor God Tree in Kara’s laboratory and learned it could potentially grow into a true God Tree.
• Sarutobi Toru met Amado at the Augmented Human Center and used his Rinnegan to learn that Kara’s leader was Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and that Amado could access the organization’s Pocket Dimension.
• Sarutobi Toru entered the Pocket Dimension with Amado, alerting Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, who had been uneasy about a possible threat.
• Sarutobi Toru appeared behind Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and punched through Jigen’s body after catching his backhanded strike.

Sarutobi Toru defeated Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and had the God Tree devour him, while Isshiki believed his Karma would let him take over Toru’s body. Toru suppressed the God Tree’s urge to bear fruit and planned to wait for more rewards and another Isshiki before feeding it again.

• Ōtsutsuki Isshiki transformed and attacked Sarutobi Toru with a black cube, but Toru blasted it away with an Air Cannon.
• Ōtsutsuki Isshiki used Karma when Toru intercepted his apparent escape, but Toru cut off Isshiki’s fist and discovered the Karma Seal on his own palm.
• Sarutobi Toru slashed Ōtsutsuki Isshiki in half with Space Rift and summoned a God Tree into the Pocket Dimension.
• Ōtsutsuki Isshiki assumed his Karma would let him reincarnate into Toru after the sacrifice, but Sarutobi Toru controlled the God Tree and had it devour him.

Sarutobi Toru destroyed Otsutsuki Isshiki’s soul and absorbed his Karma, gaining Isshiki’s ocular techniques before harvesting Isshiki’s Ten-Tails for his God Tree. After taking control of Kara, he left its handover to his allies and set out for the moon to claim its Tenseigan.

• Sarutobi Toru used Soul Vortex to consume Isshiki’s soul and Chakra, erased the Karma Seal, and gained Sukuna and Mahādevā.
• Sarutobi Toru found Isshiki’s dormant Ten-Tails and had his God Tree absorb it, deciding to delay growing a Chakra Fruit until he gathered more power.

Sarutobi Toru took the Tenseigan and Otsutsuki Toneri from the moon, then traveled to the Parallel World to confront Ōtsutsuki Isshiki. He sealed Isshiki and fed him to the God Tree, destroying his Karma before it could take hold.

• Sarutobi Toru seized the Tenseigan, knocked out Otsutsuki Toneri, and took them both to his Pocket Dimension.

After subjugating the other three great ninja villages, Sarutobi Toru focused on awakening his Hormone Fruit ability while a God Tree began growing a new Chakra Fruit. His ability reached a new level, greatly expanding his physical potential and his power to control other people.

• Sarutobi Toru fed another Ten-Tails to the God Tree and used his Hormone Fruit ability to start a new Chakra Fruit growing.
• Sarutobi Toru used his half-awakened ability to control ninjas from the other three great villages, turning them into supporters of Konoha and making the villages surrender as Konoha's vassals.
• Sarutobi Toru woke among his partners and sensed that his Hormone Fruit ability had undergone a qualitative transformation.
• Sarutobi Toru realized the transformation had greatly increased his physical potential and let him produce hormones inside other people to manipulate their emotions, senses, memories, and personalities.

Sarutobi Toru reflected on the Hormone Fruit’s effects and the lasting influence it had left on the women around him. He harvested and ate the enormous, fully ripe Chakra Fruit from the God Tree, then fell asleep inside a cocoon of Truth-Seeking Orbs.

• Sarutobi Toru considered how his development of the Hormone Fruit had made its effects unusually powerful and remembered how its awakening had affected him and the women.
• Hinata Hyuga embraced Sarutobi Toru, and their actions woke the other women, leading to another bout of indulgence.
• Sarutobi Toru decided the God Tree’s Chakra Fruit was nearly ripe and went to Rōran, where he had planted the tree at the Dragon Vein.

• Sarutobi Toru awoke atop the God Tree and accidentally unleashed a Chakra beam that alarmed civilians in the Ancient Kingdom of Roran.
• Sarutobi Toru realized the Chakra Fruit had given him the innate ability to travel between Parallel Worlds without using the Dragon Vein.
• Sarutobi Toru concluded that sacrificing Otsutsuki Kaguya would offer little benefit and that his remaining paths to growth were traveling to other worlds or planting God Trees across the universe.

Sarutobi Toru prepared to leave the Shinobi World after spending five years strengthening its younger generation and altering Otsutsuki Kaguya’s personality. He said goodbye to his harem, traveled through the Dragon Vein, and arrived in the world of Inuyasha.
