Background / History

Sasuke grew up in the shadow of his elder brother, Itachi. After graduating from the Ninja Academy, he repeatedly found himself outmatched by opponents such as Naruto, Haku, Rock Lee, Orochimaru, Gaara, and the Sound Four. These experiences contributed to his fixation on strength and his belief that power was necessary to shape his own fate. 62

After failing to capture Killer B and returning only with an octopus tentacle, Sasuke considers leaving Akatsuki. Nagato summons him to Amegakure under threat of death; when Taka confronts Nagato, Sasuke's Susanoo is shattered by a single punch.
