Zhao Wuji's Account
The roar, carrying the oppressive power of Soul Saint, swept outwards!
Yu Xiaogang, who was in the shadows, was so shocked that he took half a step back, his face turning pale.
But he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he stared at Dai Mubai even more intently, his lips moving slightly as if he wanted to say something.
Only after Zhao Wuji took another step forward, his Soul Power surging once more, did Yu Xiaogang glare at Zhao Wuji with resentment before slowly turning around and disappearing around the corner.
Zhao Wuji exhaled a heavy breath, turned to look at Dai Mubai, and said in a serious tone:
"Kid, remember what I said."
"Stay away from that person."
He's got his eye on you.
Zhao Wuji's voice was deep:
"That guy... has a morbid obsession with geniuses."
He always tries to find a few "good talents" to stuff into his bullshit theory in order to prove that he is right.
Dai Mubai was startled and nodded solemnly:
"The students remembered."
Zhao Wuji then smiled again and patted him on the shoulder:
"Alright! Don't let that kind of person ruin your mood! Come on, let me show you what you've got!"
Dai Mubai took a deep breath, temporarily putting aside the matter of that gloomy middle-aged man.
White Tiger Possession!
Her long golden hair flew in the wind, her heterochromatic eyes gleamed with golden light, and tiger paws and sharp claws were faintly visible.
Two Spirit Ring, Huang and Huang, rose up.
Zhao Wuji's eyes lit up:
"Good! Evil Eye White Tiger! That's awesome!"
"Come on, kid!"
Dai Mubai let out a low roar and pounced.
Behind the second-floor window of that dilapidated school building in the distance, Yu Xiaogang had not actually left.
He stood in the shadows, staring intently through the broken glass at the golden figure on the training field, his eyes burning with a scorching light.
Twelve years old, level twenty-five.
Evil Eye White Tiger, a top-tier Beast Martial Soul.
"A genius... yet another genius..."
Yu Xiaogang's fingers trembled slightly with excitement.
He murmured softly, his voice filled with longing:
"If... if I could take him as my apprentice... if I could train him using my theories..."
"Then everyone... Flender, Zhao Wuji, and Father... will see... that I was right..."
"My theory... can't be wrong..."
He stared intently at Dai Mubai's nimble movements as he dodged Zhao Wuji's attacks, his mind already racing with plans on how to approach the young man, how to demonstrate his "erudition," and how to gradually incorporate him into his "theoretical system"...
Sunlight streamed through the broken window into the dimly lit corridor, illuminating half of Yu Xiaogang's face.
His face was etched with fanatical fervor and an almost insane desire.
The sounds of battle from the training ground drifted on the wind.
A gloomy smile slowly crept onto Yu Xiaogang's lips.
After the test, Dai Mubai, his face bruised and swollen, looked at Zhao Wuji, who had beaten him up and was now refreshed.
He struggled to sit up, never expecting that the burly man in front of him was actually a Soul Saint!
This made him increasingly interested in this Monster Academy.
He couldn't help but think of Yu Xiaogang, who had been watching him intently.
He looked at Zhao Wuji with a questioning gaze and inquired about the background of Yu Xiaogang.
Zhao Wuji exhaled a heavy breath, as if he wanted to expel all the pent-up anger from his chest.
He rubbed his shiny bald head, then sighed and began to explain in a low voice:
"Kid, you're new here, you don't know that guy's background."
He paused, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes, and slowly recounted the aftermath of the incident two years ago:
He first briefly recounted what happened to Mo Xuan after he Shrek Academy, including being taken in as a disciple by Yu Xiaogang, and Mo Xuan's journey to obtain his third Spirit Ring, which resulted in his Martial Soul being shattered and his body becoming paralyzed due to Yu Xiaogang's nonsensical theories.
Dai Mubai, intrigued by Zhao Wuji's description, quickly asked, "And then what happened? What became of Mo Xuan?"
Zhao Wuji sighed before continuing to recount how, after the two of them left the Star Dou Great Forest, they encountered Dai Tianyu and others, and through Dai Tianyu's introduction, they found Dai Tianyu's master, thus helping Mo Xuan to stand up again.
Upon hearing the familiar name Dai Mubai 'Dai Tianyu expression froze instantly.
Then, upon hearing Zhao Wuji mention that Dai Tianyu had introduced them to Dai Tianyu's master, Dai Mubai's eyes suddenly lit up.
That monster even had a master!
Could it be that his extraordinary Soul Ring Configuration and unprecedented talent were due to his master?
if I could...
Dai Mubai thought to himself.
Zhao Wuji seemed to have started talking non-stop, and began to tell Dai Mubai about the subsequent events:
Two years ago, when Zhao Wuji returned alone to the Suotuo City, weary from his journey, and stood outside the familiar, dilapidated gate of the Shrek Academy, it was afternoon.
Li Yusong, who was on duty at the door, was dozing off behind that broken table.
Hearing footsteps, Li Yusong lazily raised his eyelids.
The next second, he suddenly stood up from his chair, his face filled with disbelief, surprise, and delight:
"Old Zhao?! You... you're still alive?!"
His voice trembled slightly with excitement:
"Boss Fu said... said that you were in grave danger while trying to draw the enemy away... It's been over two months, and we all thought you..."
Zhao Wuji looked at Li Yusong's face, which was filled with a mixture of surprise and joy, but his heart was ice-cold.
He simply nodded slightly as a greeting, and without stopping, walked straight into the academy.
"Old Zhao? What's wrong with you...?" Li Yusong noticed that something was wrong with his expression and wanted to follow him to ask.
Zhao Wuji didn't turn his head, only leaving behind the sentence:
"If you need anything, find Boss Fu."
His voice was deep and muffled, carrying a sense of suppressed turmoil.
As I walked into the college, I encountered two more teachers along the way— Lu Qibin and Shao Xin.
Upon seeing Zhao Wuji, both men showed expressions of surprise and delight, and stepped forward to greet him.
"Old Zhao! You're finally back!"
"It's good that you're alright! Boss Fu was so worried!"
Zhao Wuji simply nodded indifferently, his steps unwavering, his direction clear—the dean's office in Flender.
Lu Qibin and Shao Xin exchanged a glance, both seeing doubt and a hint of unease in each other's eyes.
Old Zhao's behavior... is really off.
The two exchanged a glance and followed in the same direction.
Arriving at the slightly worn wooden door to Flender's office, Zhao Wuji did not pause or knock.
He raised his leg and kicked out!
"Bang--!!"
The wooden door flew off with a thud and crashed heavily onto the indoor floor, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Zhao Wuji strode in, carrying a heavy sense of oppression, and went straight to the desk—where Flender was startled by the sudden turn of events and stood up from his chair, his face still showing a blank expression.
Zhao Wuji slammed his hands heavily onto the table in front of Flender, the solid wood table groaning under the weight.
He leaned down, his copper-bell-like eyes fixed on Flender, his voice forced out through clenched teeth, each word deliberate and clear:
"Where are Yu, Xiao, and Gang?"
"Flender —call Yu Xiaogang over here—!!!"
