Asura God's Discovery
The Asura God opened the ancient book, his gaze falling on the first page.
The handwriting on it was vigorous and powerful, each stroke conveying a sense of composure and solemnity, as if the writer was experiencing some indescribable emotion when putting pen to paper.
He read it down word by word.
I don't know what they are, or where they come from.
These bizarre creatures, resembling both humans and beasts, call themselves—demons.
[What's even more terrifying is that the power and energy they unleashed were essentially on par with divine power!]
Upon seeing this, the Asura God frowned slightly.
Magic?!
Its power is on par with divine power!
After calming himself down, he turned to the next page.
That new Rakshasa God is really strange. For some reason, he always gives me a feeling of disgust.
[And was the energy he used truly divine power?]
Why does something feel off? And why is that power so similar to the energy emitted by that self-proclaimed demon we encountered before?
Is this a coincidence?
[What is the connection between Rakshasa and demons?]
What exactly are demons? Where do they come from?
Upon seeing this, the Asura God paused slightly.
Rakshasa God.
magic.
Similar strength.
He recalled the scene when he killed the Rakshasa.
At that time, he simply felt an instinctive aversion to the aura of the Rakshasa. This aversion was not a personal grudge, but a rejection from the depths of his soul.
He assumed it was a conflict between clergy and never thought much of it.
But the Old Asura had already sensed something was wrong thousands of years ago.
He took a deep breath and continued turning the page.
[Finally, the Godhood Inheritance down. I can't wait to return to the stars and investigate the whereabouts of these so-called "demons"!]
[And I believe that the successor I have chosen will be a more competent Asura God than I am.]
I really admire his strong sense of justice and hatred of evil!
Upon seeing this, the corners of the Asura God's mouth curled up slightly.
The Old Asura was referring to him.
Hating evil as if it were an enemy.
That's certainly true.
Then he turned to another page.
Seeing the little guy's excited and barely contained expression, I suddenly felt a surge of curiosity.
[If he were to remain in this Godhood for hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of years, would he still be so excited?]
[Haha, by then, I'll already be...]
The last few words were not finished.
The Asura God stared at that line of text, remaining silent for a long time.
By then, I will already be... already what? Already dead? Already gone?
He didn't know.
All he knew was that when the Old Asura wrote those words, his heart must have been filled with complex emotions.
He turned to the last page.
[I was going to write a few more words of advice for that little one.]
But then I thought better of it.
[Given that child's personality, even after thousands or tens of thousands of years, he might not even open these things.]
[These words will likely only be heard by the Asura God many generations from now.]
[That's fine, let it be...]
The Asura God's hand paused slightly.
He lowered his head and looked at the ancient book in his hands.
Old Asura is right.
He truly never looked through those things.
Over the years, he had never entered this secret room, nor had he ever opened this ancient book.
If it weren't for Tang San's Simulation today, and if it weren't for what Fu Shiyan said, he might never have walked in.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
When he opened his eyes again, his expression had become serious.
What exactly did the Old Asura mean by these words?
Was everything Tang San saw real?!
The Abyss... the Demon Realm... Rakshasa is a spy...
He recalled the scene when he killed the Rakshasa.
Rakshasa lay dying, her eyes were filled with terror and resentment, and she was still shouting something.
He didn't pay attention at the time, taking it as the ramblings of a dying man.
But at that moment, he suddenly felt that there might be something hidden in those crazy words.
No matter how absurd or unbelievable he found it, the facts and evidence were right in front of him, and he had no choice but to believe it.
He gently closed the ancient book and placed it back on the stone table.
Then, he turned around, walked out of the secret chamber, and returned to the Asura God Temple.
He sat back on his throne, calmed himself down, and continued to observe the Simulation that Tang San was seeing on the light screen.
This time, however, he was clearly more serious.
His gaze was fixed on every frame of the screen, and his ears listened intently to every word of the conversation, not wanting to miss a single detail.
Even after the Beng Gong's voice in the light screen, Fu Shiyan's expression remained unchanged.
He raised his head, stared at the Beng Gong, and slowly spoke:
"Asura is telling the truth or not, I will find out in time. As for now..."
He paused, slightly raised the halberd in his hand, its tip pointing towards the Beng Gong, and said calmly:
"You should go back to your hometown, Beng Gong!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished!
The next moment, he suddenly appeared behind the Beng Gong!
The halberd thrust straight in, accompanied by a piercing shriek that seemed to tear through space, heading straight for the back of the Beng Gong!
Beng Gong's pupils contracted slightly, but his reaction was extremely fast. He shifted his body slightly and effortlessly dodged the attack.
A disdainful smile curled at the corner of his mouth:
"Is that all you've got?"
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure suddenly turned into a wisp of black smoke and disappeared before our eyes.
In the blink of an eye, he reappeared behind Fu Shiyan, raised his foot, and kicked Fu Shiyan hard in the neck!
Fu Shiyan's reaction was also extremely quick.
Without even turning around, he swung his halberd behind him, precisely blocking the kick!
"Clang--!!!"
The deafening clang of metal clashing exploded across the battlefield, causing the surrounding air to distort slightly!
Fu Shiyan swung the halberd downwards with a powerful slash, the blade aimed straight at Beng Gong's shoulder and neck!
Beng Gong's figure flashed, narrowly missing the halberd blade.
His robe was ripped open by the halberd blade, revealing his dark blue skin underneath.
He glanced down at the shallow wound, his brow furrowing slightly.
The next second, he turned into a wisp of black smoke and vanished abruptly.
Without hesitation, Fu Shiyan flashed forward and gave chase!
At that moment, he suddenly appeared high in the sky, above the Beng Gong, raised his halberd, and smashed it down fiercely on the top of the Beng Gong!
The attack was swift and powerful; Beng Gong couldn't react in time and was immediately smashed to the ground!
"Boom--!!!"
The Beng Gong's body fell to the ground like a meteor, instantly raising a huge cloud of dust!
From within the smoke came the agonizing screams of someone collapsing from Beng Gong!
"I'm so hungry--!!!"
Fu Shiyan did not stop.
In mid-air, he forcefully swung the Abyss Annihilation Halberd, unleashing a semi-circular beam of light that crashed straight towards the direction where the Beng Gong had fallen!
"Boom--!!!"
Another painful wail came from the smoke and dust!
As the smoke gradually dissipated, the ruined and disheveled figure of the Beng Gong was revealed.
He lay on the ground, a deep, bone-revealing wound on his back from which black blood gushed.
His face was deathly pale, and his eyes were filled with disbelief and horror.
Fu Shiyan stood in mid-air, looking down at him.
