Great Peril of the Deep Sea

"Honestly... why do I always end up with the worst items?"

Chen Ming, Dong Qianqiu, and Di Qiu'er used the map to teleport back home. Chen Ming looked at the Seagod Trident in his hand, then at the diamonds, gold, and iron ingots in Dong Qianqiu's hands, and immediately felt like he was being targeted by the game.

"Need you even ask? You're just bad, practice more."

Hearing this, Di Qiu'er didn't hesitate to mock him directly. Chen Ming, feeling indignant, pulled out three Lucky Clovers and declared:

"I don't accept this! Let's go again!"

"Then this Auspicious Beast will make you accept it today."

Di Qiu'er confidently grabbed one clover at random. Chen Ming handed the remaining two to Dong Qianqiu and said:

"Qianqiu, join us this time."

"Are you sure we won't get bombs again?"

Dong Qianqiu sounded worried. The sheer power of those dozen or so TNT blocks exploding earlier was enough to kill a Soul King-level expert; she was genuinely terrified.

"Don't worry, these clovers won't drop bombs."

"Alright then."

Hearing Chen Ming's assurance, Dong Qianqiu took a clover, and soon all three of them opened their items.

Di Qiu'er found a box of Snack Blind Box in her hands, while Dong Qianqiu held a Golden Apple. Chen Ming looked at the Rotten Flesh in his hand and protested indignantly:

"I want to check the deck!"

"Then let's keep going."

Di Qiu'er said, stifling a laugh. Soon, Chen Ming pulled out three more clovers.

Di Qiu'er opened a box of Beverage Blind Box, and Dong Qianqiu received an Emerald. Chen Ming looked at the Spider Eye in his hand and his face turned bright red with frustration.

"There's nothing wrong with the deck. Now, come polish my shoes!"

Di Qiu'er said in a teasing tone, then pulled her jade-like foot, wrapped in a small white sock, out of her slipper and pressed it onto Chen Ming's leg.

"What kind of luck is this?!"

Chen Ming grabbed Di Qiu'er's soft little foot that was stepping on his thigh in grief and indignation. Why couldn't he pull anything good?

Dong Qianqiu looked at the Golden Apple and the beautiful Emerald, then glanced at the distraught Chen Ming. Unable to bear it, she offered some comfort:

"Chen Ming, maybe you're just having a bad day today."

"That must be it! It definitely won't be like this tomorrow."

Dong Qianqiu gave Chen Ming a way to save face. He immediately felt a glimmer of hope; it must be that his luck was just off today, that had to be it.

After finishing their day's journey, the three of them went to sleep. However, since they hadn't had time to prepare a guest room for Dong Qianqiu in My World yet, the three of them slept together on the super-large luxury bed. Di Qiu'er slept in the middle, hugging Dong Qianqiu on her left and Chen Ming on her right. Monogamy? That's an interesting concept...

"By the way, Qiu'er, Chen Ming, shouldn't we turn off the lights?"

Dong Qianqiu pulled back the curtain, and the bright scene outside came into view. Why wouldn't they turn off the lights when sleeping?

"Oh, because if this world isn't lit, monsters will spawn, so we have to keep it bright."

Hearing this, Dong Qianqiu thought of the Zombies, Skeletons, Spiders, and short-legged four-legged creatures she had seen outside earlier, and she immediately understood the reason.

Still, this world was truly magical—floating blocks, lucky blind boxes, skill enhancements, and she even gained an Inventory that could store items.

Soon, the three of them lay down. The bed was huge; it could easily fit seven or eight people, and with Di Qiu'er in the middle, Dong Qianqiu didn't feel awkward at all.

As she lay there, memories of her time as a Demon Soul Great White Shark flashed through her mind. Those carefree days—she really wanted them to continue...

Dong Qianqiu curled up on one side. After coming to the human world, she had been all alone until she met Meng Qin, Chen Ming, and Di Qiu'er.

She didn't feel quite so lonely anymore... Thinking this, Dong Qianqiu drifted off to sleep, exhausted from the day's cultivation.

The next morning.

Chen Ming felt something pushing against his face. He subconsciously sniffed twice, his consciousness gradually returning as he felt the object pressing against him.

It wasn't large, but it was soft, supple, and slightly warm. It rested right over his mouth and nose, obstructing his breathing—though he could still breathe, it was a bit difficult.

He took a few deep breaths to get some oxygen, accompanied by a faint, pleasant fragrance.

Chen Ming opened his eyes groggily, and a snow-white jade foot came into view. The toes, crystal clear like small pearls, were layered and exquisite.

For a moment, he was completely stunned. He sat up immediately and saw Di Qiu'er's incredibly messy sleeping posture.

Her head was lying at an odd angle, and her foot had been resting right on his face. Chen Ming's face darkened, and he looked over at Dong Qianqiu, who was sleeping in a graceful and quiet manner on the other side.

The difference between the two was truly massive... Chen Ming checked the time—seven in the morning—and got up to wash.

He then took out plenty of ingredients and got busy. All the rice cookers were started again, and soon the aroma of the food woke the little glutton Di Qiu'er from her dreams.

Dong Qianqiu also woke up. After the two of them got out of bed and washed up, they soon began eating the delicious meal.

In the morning, Chen Ming took them to the Star Dou Forest instance to hunt soul beasts and gain combat experience.

Dong Qianqiu was also surprised to see that hunting these unknown soul beasts could actually increase their Soul Power Level.

However, the amount provided by hundred-year and thousand-year beasts was a bit small, and they needed a lot of experience to level up.

The battle was scheduled for the afternoon, but as evening approached, Dong Qianqiu tugged on Chen Ming's sleeve and said:

"Chen Ming, I want to go check out the Great Fierce Sea Area dungeon, is that okay?"

"Hm? Sure, we still have some time before dinner. Let me grab a Night Vision Potion."

Chen Ming agreed, and Dong Qianqiu was filled with anticipation. Soon, the three of them were fully prepared to head into the Deep Sea Dungeon.

Chen Ming first took out a Night Vision Potion and crushed it, spraying the liquid onto the faces of Dong Qianqiu and Di Qiu'er, after which all three entered the Deep Sea Dungeon.

Several crisp sounds of hitting the water rang out, and an incredibly bright underwater world came into view, with countless marine creatures appearing one after another.

Most were at the ten-thousand-year level. Looking at the beautiful scenery of the deep sea, Dong Qianqiu felt a sense of familiarity wash over her, and she immediately felt completely at ease.

She swam toward Chen Ming and Di Qiu'er, reaching out her small hand to grasp Chen Ming's large hand and Di Qiu'er's small hand.

"Since this is my home turf, let me lead the way."

Dong Qianqiu led the two of them downward as if she were showing friends around her own home. Seeing her oxygen bar dropping rapidly, Di Qiu'er suddenly panicked.

[Di Qiu'er: I'm running out of oxygen! Help, help!]

Chen Ming and Dong Qianqiu saw the message on the chat screen and looked at each other.

Dong Qianqiu was a sea soul beast with excellent swimming abilities, and Chen Ming possessed the Silver Dragon King martial soul, allowing him to control water elements so he wouldn't drown; only Di Qiu'er was at risk of drowning.

Fortunately, Chen Ming had prepared in advance, taking out a Water Breathing Potion and handing it to Di Qiu'er, who immediately drank it in a hurry, and soon she was fine.
