Little Glutton

Dai Mubai froze. "Good heavens, level forty-nine! Were you cultivating from the moment you were in the womb?" He had no reason to suspect Tang Yu was lying. After all, it was entirely possible he was level forty-nine if he could defeat Dai Mubai so easily.

Dai Mubai took a deep breath. "Looks like Shrek Academy is going to get lively starting this year. You four, I'll be off now. See you at Shrek Academy."

With that, Dai Mubai and the twin sisters turned to leave. Xiao Wu asked in confusion, "How does he know we're going to Shrek Academy?"

As he walked away, Dai Mubai explained, "At your age, with your strength, and at this time of year, where else could you go besides Shrek Academy?"

After that, Dai Mubai and the twin sisters left.

Tang San went over to Tang Yu and said with a smile, "Brother, that was impressive!"

Tang Yu smiled. "I don't know why, but I feel like I'm picking on a little kid. Maybe being invincible gets lonely."

Tang San and Xiao Wu's mouths twitched. Tang Xiaomi covered her mouth and giggled. "Brother Tang Yu, you're so shameless."

Tang San and Xiao Wu both replied emphatically, "Mm-hmm!"

"Tch! So what? I'm just that awesome! That's an undeniable fact!" Tang Yu made a goofy face.

Tang Xiaomi went over to Tang Yu and looked up at him. "Brother Tang Yu, let's go out and explore."

Tang Yu smiled and nodded. Tang Xiaomi was a little glutton; wherever they went, the first thing she thought of was sampling the local food.

Tang Yu looked at Tang San and Xiao Wu. "You two go do your own thing. I'm taking the little glutton and heading out."

With that, Tang Yu took Tang Xiaomi by the hand and left. She didn't mind him calling her a little glutton, because she really was one—and the sort who was always hungry but never gained weight.

Xiao Wu watched Tang Yu and Tang Xiaomi walk away hand in hand, her eyes full of envy. Then she looked at Tang San and got annoyed all over again. She just couldn't understand how that blockhead Tang San couldn't tell she liked him.

Tang Xiaomi hadn't taken long to win Tang Yu over back then. Xiao Wu thought back to what Tang Xiaomi had been like: she hardly spoke, but sometimes she'd make a cute expression, and she stuck to Tang Yu all the time, no matter what anyone else thought.

Xiao Wu rubbed her chin, wondering if she should learn from Tang Xiaomi and stick close to Tang San from now on.

Tang San turned and saw Xiao Wu looking thoughtful. "Xiao Wu, what's wrong?"

Tang San's words scattered all her thoughts at once. She stammered, "Oh, um, nothing."

Tang San was baffled, but simply said, "All right, then. Let's go back to our rooms and cultivate."

There was no way Xiao Wu was letting Tang San go upstairs without her. She grabbed his arm, and when Tang San felt it press softly against him, his face turned bright red. He hurriedly said, "Xiao Wu, let go!"

Seeing how embarrassed Tang San was, Xiao Wu was delighted. Looks like this trick works! She immediately pouted. "No! I'm holding on! Brother, let's go. You have to go out with me today!"

With that, Xiao Wu dragged Tang San outside. Tang San felt completely numb and didn't dare move a muscle.
