The Fourth Round of Assessment

Tang Yu nodded, then smiled and said, "Teacher, you'd better prepare yourself mentally. If you end up having a heart attack from shock later, I won't be held responsible."

The old man flicked him on the forehead and said, "I'm perfectly fine, you brat. Hurry up, don't dawdle like a woman."

Tang Yu rolled his eyes at the old man, then snapped his fingers with a flourish. Immediately, his eyes turned purple, Lightning coiled around his body, and a purple Spirit Ring rose from beneath his feet.

The old man's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. What on earth was happening? His first Spirit Ring was a thousand-year one!?

Following that, one purple Spirit Ring after another rose up, until finally, four purple Spirit Rings circled around Tang Yu. Everyone at the entrance of Shrek Academy was so shocked they were left speechless.

Tang Yu smiled and said, "Teacher, did I pass?"

The old man swallowed hard and said, "You definitely passed! Compared to you, the monsters from before are practically ordinary people! Dai Mubai, go notify the Dean quickly—a real monster has arrived!"

Dai Mubai was also terrified, but upon hearing the old man's words, he nodded immediately and ran into the academy.

Tang Yu had a face full of black lines as he said, "Wait, I can take you calling me a monster as a compliment, but what's with the 'a' prefix?"

The old man laughed and grabbed Tang Yu's hand, saying, "Young man, don't take it to heart. From now on, we're all family."

Tang Yu looked at the old man with an expression of utter disgust. I'm here to study, not to sell myself!

Tang Yu immediately pulled his hand back and said, "Teacher, please continue testing the others. The four of us will go explore the academy grounds first. Farewell."

After saying this, Tang Yu pulled Tang Xiaomi along and left, with Tang San and Xiao Wu following close behind. Only a fool would stay to be gawked at like a monkey by a crowd.

After running into the academy, the four of them found a random spot to sit and rest, as they had no idea where the fourth round of the assessment was being held.

Not long after, Dai Mubai, who had left earlier, returned, bringing two girls with him.

Dai Mubai had gone to find the Dean of Shrek Academy, but the Dean seemed to already know about Tang Yu and wasn't surprised, simply telling Dai Mubai to go back and continue guiding them through the assessment.

Dai Mubai looked at the four of them and said, "Tang Yu, these two are Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong. They are students who have passed the assessment. The academy has recruited six students this year; the Dean should be quite happy. Anyway, let's go, I'll take you to the location for the fourth round of the assessment."

The six of them nodded and followed Dai Mubai to an open field, where a short but extremely muscular man was standing with his arms crossed.

The man spoke up, "Oh, six students this year? In that case, I will personally conduct your assessment!"

Dai Mubai frowned and said, "Teacher Zhao, is that really appropriate? Won't the difficulty be too high?"

Zhao Wuji smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll go easy on them."

As he spoke, Zhao Wuji looked at Tang Yu and the others and said, "Your fourth round of assessment is very simple: last for one stick of incense in my hands. I'll give you one stick of incense worth of time to discuss any battle strategy. The timer starts now."

Zhao Wuji pulled a stick of incense from somewhere and tossed it onto the ground. The six of them looked at the incense and immediately huddled together.
