Background

Li Tianji had traveled with Xiong Tatian for nearly two years after saving the Mad Bear Clan youth's life. Despite this debt, their journey was frequently disrupted by Li Tianji's failed or misleading divinations. 25

Acting on a prediction from his unnamed master, Li Tianji waited in the Land of Beast Burial for an expected “friend.” Qin Yu's arrival did not initially match his calculation, and no one else appeared after three further days of waiting. 25 26

Despite his pride, Li Tianji is perceptive and capable of concern. After witnessing Qin Yu withstand Xiong Tatian's attacks for three days, he stops Xiong Tatian from interrupting Qin Yu's moment of comprehension and correctly identifies Qin Yu's collapse as exhaustion rather than death. 27
