Ascending to God-King
Once again, she stood on the opposite side of him.
Whenever there is a slight conflict between her beliefs and those of the Asura God or other deities, she always chooses to "trust" others without hesitation.
This time, she even joined forces with outsiders to deal with her own husband!
Even though almost all the facts proved that Tang San deserved to die, the Asura God's decision to protect Tang San was clearly driven by personal motives.
But his Goddess of Kindness wife seemed to lack a brain and couldn't think for herself, still choosing to help the Asura God.
Of course, what angered him even more was his own lack of ability!
As the God of Destruction, wielding the power of the universe's end and restart, he was unable to forcibly kill Tang San, a cunning mortal, despite the Asura God's obstruction!
Moreover, this God Realm Committee, from top to bottom, is practically "completely unreliable"!
Let's leave aside the gods below the God-King level for now!
The God-King of the God Realm Committee is already outrageous!
The Asura God, his old rival with whom he had fought openly and covertly for many years, has now completely torn off the mask and directly "switched sides"!
For Tang San, whom he saw as being full of "selfish desires" and "scheming," he not only openly violated the unspoken consensus of the Divine Realm that it should not excessively interfere in the mortal world, but even went so far as to fight against his own colleague!
Is his system of "judgment" and "order" really capable of such double standards and such disregard for principles? Hypocritical!
The Life Goddess, his own wife... Thinking of this, the destructive aura surrounding the God of Destruction suddenly froze, and then he found it even more difficult to understand. She was not only "unreliable," she was simply... foolishly Goddess of Kindness!
As a god-king, he had no thoughts or ideas of his own, and no matter what the facts were, he always went against his own beliefs.
It's as if the things done primarily by oneself, the God of Destruction, must be wrong and God of Evil.
As for the Godess of Kindness and the Evil God... a hint of undisguised contempt and mockery flashed in the eyes of the God of Destruction.
Those two are a joke in the Divine Realm. Although they are god-kings, when faced with truly important matters concerning the very foundation of the Divine Realm, requiring them to demonstrate the responsibility and decisiveness of god-kings, they can only stand by and watch!
Throughout the entire conflict, they remained indifferent spectators, watching everything unfold without taking any substantial action or making any statement.
Such behavior, devoid of any stance or responsibility, is seen by the God of Destruction as the greatest dereliction of duty and incompetence!
The Divine Realm is doomed to perish sooner or later if it is led by a group of god-kings who are either selfish and hypocritical, blindly indecisive, or empty and inactive!
·····································
The Life Goddess arrived at the edge of that realm shrouded in a deep, dark purple mist.
In the past, this territory, which symbolized the power of destruction, exuded an aura that would deter most gods, but to her, it was as natural as her own Life Temple.
The violent Destruction Divine Power would spontaneously tame and yield upon sensing her life force, even showing a hint of "welcome," clearing a path for her to the core of the temple.
That was the only tenderness and indulgence her husband, the God of Destruction, had shown her in tens of thousands of years.
However, things are different today.
As usual, with a lingering worry and a desire to repair the relationship, she reached out her slender white hand, attempting to touch the surging, dark purple mist of destruction—
"Laugh--!"
A sharp and painful burning sound rang out, not from the outside world, but directly affecting her divine body and soul! The Destruction Divine Power that should have gently retreated now brutally invaded his body through the contact of his fingertips!
"Ah!" Caught off guard, the Life Goddess cried out in pain and instinctively withdrew her hand.
Her once flawless fingertips were now shrouded in a stubborn, dark purple aura of destruction, constantly eroding the burgeoning Life Divine Power around them.
At this moment, the tiny wound on the fingertip was healing at an unusually slow pace, and the wisp of destructive aura was exceptionally "stubborn," resisting the repair process of the life rules.
"This... how could this be..." The Life Goddess's emerald green eyes were filled with disbelief, astonishment, and panic.
She looked up at the Destruction Temple, faintly visible in the depths of the mist, and could clearly sense that her husband was inside.
But why... why wouldn't he let the divine power pass? Why would this divine power even... harm her?
"Little Purple! It's me!" she raised her voice, calling out the nickname they only used between themselves, "Let me in! We need to talk!"
Her call echoed clearly at the edge of the God Realm of Destruction.
However, as time passed, the direction of the temple became deathly silent.
The surging, destructive fog did not react in the slightest to her call.
The Life Goddess could clearly know that she had been turned away, by her own husband.
The commotion here, though not enough to alarm the entire Divine Realm, was enough to attract the attention of some officials, lower-ranking deities, and even passersby in the nearby area.
Several subtle divine thoughts cautiously probed from a distance, observing this scene, which could be described as a "miracle of the Divine Realm," from a safe distance.
The Life Goddess, who was always cherished by the God of Destruction and whose divine realm was open to her without hindrance, was actually injured by the Destruction Divine Power and was coldly blocked outside the temple!
The whispered exchange of thoughts, like a subtle electric current, was secretly transmitted from afar.
["Am I seeing things? The Life Goddess ...was injured by the God of Destruction's power? And she's locked up outside?"] A priest's voice was filled with disbelief.
["It seems the rumors about them fighting and breaking up are true!"] Another voice carried a mixture of excitement and caution, as if they had stumbled upon a secret.
["Surely not? How long have they been together? The God of Destruction and the Life Goddess used to be... really good. Tens of thousands of years of affection, how could it change so easily?"] An older deity expressed doubt, having witnessed the love between the divine couple firsthand, and therefore found it hard to accept.
["No matter how deep the feelings are, they can't withstand ideological clashes and repeated confrontations. Last time they fought, they already tore off all pretenses, and this time they won't even let them in the door...tsk tsk, I think it's going to be tough."] Some deities also held a pessimistic view, analyzing the situation with great insight.
["But...they've argued before. Even the God of Destruction, with his explosive temper, always backs down first. Why not this time..."] The voice of doubt still lingered.
Although these discussions were held at a distance and in hushed tones, how could they possibly escape the perception of a god-king?
The Life Goddess clearly captured every message conveyed by her divine thoughts, making her feel increasingly embarrassed.
She, the Life Goddess, the goddess who governs all life and is revered and loved by countless beings in the mortal realm, when had she ever received such treatment?
He was even surrounded by his colleagues and subordinates!
·····································
However, no matter how the Life Goddess calls out.
The God of Destruction did not respond.
Having already suffered a loss once, the Life Goddess dared not force his way in.
Finally, under the watchful eyes of the other deities, they left in a sorry state.
"He's really gone..."
"Even the Life Goddess can't get in... It seems this is a true break."
···························
The God of Destruction, however, ignored the calls of the Life Goddess outside and finally came to a realization.
I've figured out why the Divine Realm has become like this, and I've figured out why these gods are so lazy and incompetent.
Since they have all chosen their successors and are leaving the Douluo God Realm, they naturally don't care about the future of the Divine Realm (besides, the Dragon Clan is also eyeing them covetously), and they are naturally unwilling to offend the Asura God for the sake of Tang San.
The God of Destruction is different. Although he also chose a successor to inherit the divine position, he intends to stay and protect the Douluo God Realm.
The more the God of Destruction thought about it, the more turbulent his emotions became. An extreme and insane idea took shape in his mind: if these guys lost their successors, would they devote all their efforts to protecting the Douluo God Realm?
Chapter 332 God King Ascension
Although anger made me forget this thought.
But the God of Destruction quickly regained his senses, clenched his fists, and suppressed his crazy thought.
Because he knew that doing so was impossible.
Undeniably, the aptitude of this group of divine examiners was indeed the best in history.
They are fresh blood, a powerful new force, and an indispensable asset in the future defense against the Dragon Clan invasion.
The best-case scenario should be for him and the old gods to join forces with the newly emerging gods, working together to have any chance of resisting the Dragon Clan. This was the cold conclusion he reached based on reason and responsibility.
Internal strife will only push the Divine Realm to its doom.
As the tide of anger receded, the God of Destruction calmed down and began to examine the power he could truly wield.
The Seven Deadly Sins Gods are his direct and most central subordinate deities.
Pride, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony, lust—they wield the fundamental laws governing the dark side of the hearts of living beings and even gods. Their power is immense and unique, and they are all First-Level God who absolutely obey the commands of this God of Destruction.
However, that's all there is to it.
The Divine Realm is vast, with numerous deities and a complex, intertwined system.
The other gods who possess powerful combat strength or special powers are basically all their own masters or have close relationships with specific god-kings, and are by no means easily mobilized by the God of Destruction.
For example, Poseidon, the Sea God, not only ranks among the top of the First-Level God in terms of his own strength and controls the faith of the vast ocean, but also has a close personal relationship with the Asura God. He will largely follow the attitude and actions of the Asura God.
For example, the Rakshasa God, although his divine duties are somewhat opposed to those of the Asura God in terms of killing and judgment, both of them share the same source of power and have often had a strange tacit understanding throughout the long history of the Divine Realm.
There are also the Seven Elemental Gods: the Fire God, the god of water, the god of earth, the god of wind, the god of light, the god of darkness, and the Space God. They each wield the fundamental elemental laws of the universe, holding transcendent positions and possessing formidable strength.
Although they have their own conflicts, they are often united with others and maintain good relations with many god-kings, especially the god-kings of Goddess of Kindness and God of Evil.
The more the God of Destruction thought about it, the stronger the sense of absurdity became.
This Divine Realm seems to have been completely turned upside down.
He, the god who wields "destruction," symbolizing end, destruction, and chaos, should be the one who disregards order and is most eager to overthrow everything.
In reality, however, he was here racking his brains on how to protect the Divine Realm and how to integrate forces to deal with external enemies.
And what about those deities whose divine titles sound upright, luminous, Goddess of Kindness, and just?
As the god who controls judgment, the Asura God has repeatedly broken the rules for his own selfish desires.
Goddess of Kindness and God of Evil remain on the sidelines, standing idly by in the face of any responsibility or risk, completely failing to shoulder the duties that a god-king should bear!
As for his wife... the Life Goddess, stripped of the filter of love, many of Life Goddess actions seem rather thoughtless...

Asura God Temple
Watching the Life Goddess depart, disappearing completely at the edge of the Asura God Realm.
The towering figure of the Dark Asura God returned to his Asura God throne, his fingers tapping idly on the cold metal surface of the armrest, producing a soft "tap, tap" sound that was particularly clear in the empty and silent hall.
"Alright," the Asura God spoke, his voice cold, "Stop pretending. I know better than you how effective the Life Goddess's power is. You are already unharmed."
As he finished speaking...
