Selection by the Dao Venerable

Before entering the Heavenly Court, Shui Bing'er was a Level 55 Soul King driven by a desire to defeat Shrek and restore Skywater Academy. In the Immortal Peach orchard, she restrained herself to taking only a single breath of a peach's fragrance, yet still rose directly to Level 93 Titled Douluo. 5

When Feng Qing'er confronted her over the peach, Shui Bing'er immediately admitted fault and offered to accept punishment, despite being unable to compensate for such a treasure. Lin Feng's decree intervened: she was chosen as an immortal maiden of the Imperial Garden, partly because Feng Qing'er sensed a trace of Phoenix Clan aura on her. 6

Feng Qing'er subsequently gave her a Xuanyuan Pill and explained that it would improve her potential as well as her cultivation. Shui Bing'er accepted the favor gratefully and promised not to forget it. 7

Imperial Garden Service

Lan Fuzi introduced Shui Bing'er to Heavenly Court etiquette and assigned her to bathe daily in Hundred Flower Dust-Washing Liquid. Shui Bing'er secretly drank small amounts of the bathwater after discovering that it improved cultivation, then obediently disposed of the remainder as ordered. 8

She adapted to Imperial Garden work quickly, taking responsibility for garden affairs and valuing even her salary of spirit stones. Her diligence and steady temperament drew Lin Feng's attention. 12

Jinling Shengmu later tested her resolve by asking whether she had killed anyone and how strongly she wished to become stronger. Shui Bing'er answered without hesitation that she did. 13

Ten Thousand Beast Heaven Trial

As a test arranged by Jinling Shengmu, Shui Bing'er was sent to the Ten Thousand Beast Heaven as a butcher. She accepted the humiliating-sounding assignment without complaint and learned to castrate young Zhu Po Long; by her tenth attempt, her hands were steady and her movements surpassed those of the old pig herder. 14

While working with Fei Nian the Pig Herder, she helped select female cultivators who were talented, resilient, and steadfast enough for their duties. Her status as a Heavenly Court immortal earned her the respect of the Du Xian Sect. 29

She stopped an elder from attacking the kneeling Snow Empress, accepted her offered soul bone, and treated her as an equal rather than a subordinate. 30 31

Return to Douluo and Conflict with the God Realm

After returning to Heaven Dou City, Shui Bing'er faced representatives from the continent's major factions seeking her treasures and favor. She remained composed under the attention and later used the Cloud Boat to shelter her family and teammates from the God Realm's threats. 73 81

When the Five Great God Kings pressured everyone present into kneeling, Shui Bing'er alone resisted through the power of her artifacts. After the Asura God attempted to seize her treasures under the guise of forgiveness, she drew the Blood Demon Dagger and fought the five God Kings alongside two incomplete swords from the Refining Pavilion. 74 75 76

She later refused to become involved in Ning Rongrong's personal conflict with Martial Soul Hall, establishing that her strength and artifacts would not be used to settle private grudges. 84

Heavenly Emperor's Disciple

During her return to the Prehistoric World, Shui Bing'er unexpectedly appeared in Lingxiao Palace and was accepted as Jinling Shengmu's second personal disciple. Jinling revealed that Lin Feng had recommended her from the beginning. 87 88

Jinling then left Shui Bing'er to cultivate beside Lin Feng, her grandmaster. He allowed her to drink Immortal tea, imparted the top-tier One Qi Hunyuan Art, and gifted her the Golden Cicada Garment. 92 94 95
