Background / History

The Prehistoric World is an immense cultivation realm linked to other planes through the Sky Screen. Its connection offers outsiders opportunities for immortality, godhood, treasures, and cultivation, but entrants quickly discover that its environment and inhabitants are overwhelmingly dangerous. A weak outsider, Li Dali, dies immediately when his body cannot withstand its dense spiritual energy. Other selected visitors are killed shortly after arrival by local threats. 1 2 4

Lin Feng, the Prehistoric Dao Venerable, is associated with the world’s highest political order. He is described as having founded the Heavenly Court and created the Human Race. 1 The Heavenly Court exerts major influence over the realm, while other powerful groups—including the Wu Clan, Western Sect, Human Race, demons, and independent cultivators—pursue their own interests. 26 176 192 193

The realm’s future is unstable. Tongtian senses smaller worlds approaching it as signs of an impending Tribulation, while Dijiang and Zhu Jiuyin foresee fragments of a future in which the Prehistoric World shatters and an Eternal Dao Realm appears. 163 176 Lin Feng later prepares the Heavenly Court for a possible catastrophic war affecting the Prehistoric World and the Primordial Universe. 248

Governance and Order

Lin Feng declares that the Prehistoric World is a shared treasure rather than private property. When Di Xin attempts to remove all cultivators’ temples from Human Race territory, Lin Feng prohibits further interference in human affairs and instead requires temples to pay taxes according to their scale and grade. 193

The Human Race remains politically assertive. Di Xin demands the removal of cultivator influence from human lands, arguing that such groups threaten his rule; Lin Feng warns him to combine kingly and hegemonic methods rather than govern arbitrarily. 192 193

Connections to Other Worlds
