Background / History
Sacrifice and Awakening
Ah Yin lived in human society after transforming from a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor. She became Tang Hao’s wife and bore their son, Tang San. When pursued by Martial Soul Hall, she sacrificed herself in the hope that her husband and child would survive 10 22.
Six years later, she awakens within Su Yun’s martial soul space. The system explains that her true form has become his martial soul and offers two routes to recover her human body: cultivate her seed in a blessed land using heavenly treasures, or help Su Yun reach level 100 and become a god capable of restoring her 3 4.
Discovering Tang San’s Identity
Initially, Ah Yin hopes Su Yun will help reunite her family. That changes when the system’s Tang San’s Past.mp4 reveals another-world memories and an admission that the current Tang San is not Tang Hao’s biological son in soul 5 6.
She asks Su Yun to approach Tang San without revealing her presence. After observing his Tang Sect techniques on a mountaintop, she concludes that an outsider occupies her child’s body. She tells Su Yun that her real child is dead and asks him to help her regain human form so she can take revenge 8 9 10 11.
Breaking with Tang Hao
Ah Yin’s trust in Tang Hao deteriorates when he threatens Xiao Wu to force Su Yun into a life-and-death duel. She later witnesses him seize Xiao Wu and falsely present Su Yun as his son, leaving Su Yun in Martial Soul Hall’s hands 49 56.
Su Yun argues that Tang Hao may also have engineered the exposure of Ah Yin’s soul-beast identity to obtain her sacrifice. Ah Yin reconsiders their past, accepts that she was exploited, and vows revenge. Tang Hao later independently admits to the Clear Sky Sect elders that he feigned affection for her to obtain her soul ring and pursue his plans for the sect 57 149.
Restoration at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well
Ah Yin briefly gains a physical vessel by possessing one of Su Yun’s Blue Silver Emperor Tree clones, but it cannot withstand her soul once his meditation ends. She returns unharmed to her phantom state 60 61.
A later system quest offers her seed as a reward. Although the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well provides the conditions needed for its growth, Ah Yin tries to dissuade Su Yun from the quest because failure could kill him 131.
Su Yun eventually plants the seed at the junction of the well’s opposing energies, feeds it his blood, and has Dugu Bo protect the site with a poison formation. Ah Yin places a soul imprint on the seed. The system also reveals that Tang Hao’s poor care had left her original seed in conditions where resurrection was almost impossible 147.
Appearance
- Soul phantom: A faint, translucent blue woman wearing a blue dress 7 12.
- Human likeness: Has a strikingly beautiful face, clear eyes, and a gentle expression; her illusory touch cannot be physically felt by Su Yun 8 60.
- Blue Silver Emperor form: Pale-blue grass traced with fine golden veins, radiating nourishing soul power and vitality 1 2 12.
- Evolved martial-soul form: A Blue Silver Tree Emperor combining pale blue, emerald green, and golden markings; initially measures 1.4 meters after Su Yun’s first-ring absorption 36.
Personality
Ah Yin is gentle, affectionate, and protective. She reassures Su Yun when her phantom appearance frightens him and keeps him at a safe distance while investigating Tang San’s unfamiliar techniques. As a mentor, she respects Su Yun’s decision to develop the Blue Silver Emperor’s life attribute rather than dictate his cultivation path 8 13.
Her maternal compassion extends beyond her own child. Seeing Dugu Yan’s distress, she offers to use her soul origin to help her, though Su Yun immediately refuses. She likewise places Su Yun’s safety above an opportunity for her own restoration when she learns the risks of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well quest 111 131.
The loss of her son and Tang Hao’s betrayal turn that protectiveness into anger and a desire for revenge. She nevertheless recognizes that her emotional volatility affects Su Yun and resolves to control it 10 21 57.
Over time, she becomes emotionally dependent on Su Yun. Her reactions to Zhu Zhuqing’s closeness with him and Bibi Dong’s attention show jealousy, although the supplied chapters do not establish a formal romantic relationship 91 153.
Abilities & Skills
Soul Out-of-Body
- Can leave Su Yun’s martial soul space and move as a soul phantom 5 8.
- Her early maximum movement range is 100 meters from Su Yun 8 9.
- Can communicate directly within Su Yun’s mind, including during combat 33 46.
- Others cannot see her in this state, and her phantom hand has no physical touch 8.
- Her first recorded use causes fatigue 5.
Blue Silver Emperor Vitality and Authority
- Possesses the Blue Silver Grass clan’s exceptional resilience and life attribute; the system describes her as essentially immortal, provided suitable restoration conditions exist 12 131.
- Identifies danger messages transmitted by nearby Blue Silver Grass to Su Yun’s martial soul 33.
- Explains that Su Yun’s Blue Silver Emperor can suppress Tang San’s ordinary Blue Silver Grass combat power by 30% at equal soul-power levels 12.
- Teaches Su Yun to gather nutrients and spiritual essence through surrounding Blue Silver Grass, making a suitable plant environment an important source of recovery 61 64.
- The clan permits only one Blue Silver Emperor per generation; Su Yun’s possession of that status obstructs Tang San’s attempted evolution 50 52 66.
Soul-Ring Trait Selection
- Uses her spiritual power and control over the martial soul to filter incoming soul-ring energy for traits best suited to Su Yun 36.
- Applies this during the Lazy Tree ring absorption, helping produce the Blue Silver Tree Emperor rather than an unsuitable first skill 36.
- Advises Su Yun to obtain a second skill that creates his own favorable combat environment, leading to Blue Silver Forest Sea 64.
- Later helps select the clone-based third skill alongside the system 154.
Cultivation Guidance
- Teaches the Blue Silver Grass clan’s secret cultivation method, which increases soul power and strengthens the Blue Silver Emperor’s life attribute 13.
- Guides Su Yun’s use of the Taiyi Azure Wood Art and absorption of wood-attribute spiritual essence 60 61.
- Emphasizes balanced cultivation: the trunk represents yang, the roots represent yin, and absorption must respect both bodily endurance and the martial soul’s needs 60.
- Advises on first-ring selection, martial-arts rewards, and the value of Self-Created Soul Skills 24 36.
Tree-Clone Possession
- Can transfer her soul into a Blue Silver Emperor Tree clone created by Su Yun 60 61.
- While possessing it, can grow Blue Silver Grass into vines and move them freely 61.
- This is not a completed human resurrection: her first vessel collapses because Su Yun’s available soul power is insufficient 61.
System Access
- Is the system’s bound host; Su Yun cannot operate it directly 3 24.
- Can display information panels, inspect rewards, and open martial-arts selections for him 5 24.
- Uses system measurements to track improvements to his martial soul’s life attribute 13.
