"This Haydson, he's really gotten himself into a romantic mess!" Kolan remarked with an amused expression while sitting in a restaurant.
A piece of breaking news had just sent shockwaves throughout the entire Yulan Continent.
The Temple of the Goddess of Ice and Snow had issued a kill order for Haydson, offering a bounty of two billion gold coins to anyone who could take his life.
It turned out that Haydson had provoked the Saintess of the Temple of the Goddess of Ice and Snow, Rosalie.
The Temple of the Goddess of Ice and Snow held absolute control over the Eighteen Northern Duchies, and within the Temple, the Saintess was held in the highest regard!
Although Rosalie had only just stepped into the Saint-level as a Saint-level Water Mage, she was the Saintess of the Temple of the Goddess of Ice and Snow. No one knew how it happened, but Haydson had somehow had a chance encounter with her.
As for what exactly transpired between the two of them, only they likely knew.
After eating and drinking his fill, Kolan left the restaurant.
An hour later, Kolan arrived at a mansion.
This mansion occupied a vast area and appeared quite grand, with a plaque hanging above the main gate—Haide Family!
"Haide, an old friend has come to visit; why don't you come out quickly?" Kolan sent his divine sense directly to Haide.
Before long, Haide emerged with his two sons.
Compared to Baruch, who only had one son, Haide had two.
The Four Ultimate Warriors, who carried the bloodline of the Four Divine Beasts, found it extremely difficult to produce offspring.
Aside from Haide having two sons, the other Ultimate Warriors each had only one.
Even though they had many women, those other women simply never bore them any children.
"Kolan, long time no see!" Haide laughed. "This is my eldest son, Marvin, and this is my youngest son, Robert."
"You two little brats, why aren't you paying your respects? This is the number one person beneath the God-level, 'Kolan'!" Haide patted his two spirited sons.
"Greetings, Lord Kolan!" the two said respectfully.
Kolan took a look at them; both were Rank 9 warriors—one at the peak of Rank 9, and the other a newly ascended Rank 9 warrior.
"I don't know what kind of weapons you two use, so I'll just gift you these two." Kolan flipped his hand and retrieved two divine artifacts from his spatial ring—a blade and a sword—both of which he had obtained in the Necropolis of the Gods.
"Kolan, these are both divine artifacts; they are too precious. You should take them back," Haide said, startled, as he spoke in a hurry.
Kolan waved his hand and smiled. "Just a little welcoming gift for the juniors."
He then added, "If you feel bad about it, Haide, just help me forge a few divine artifacts."
"Forging divine artifacts is incredibly difficult. Even if I had the skill, I lack the materials!" Haide said with a bitter smile.
Haide was not only the first-generation Violet Flame Warrior but also the number one master blacksmith in the Yulan Continent.
The Haide Family ran a weapon shop, specializing in the sale of arms.
Many Saint-level experts would spend vast sums of money to hire Haide to forge weapons for them.
A good weapon was crucial for a Saint-level expert and could significantly enhance their strength.
Kolan smiled faintly, flipped his hand, and produced a piece of Black Jade Stone along with a pile of precious ores.
Then, with a beaming smile, he asked, "How about it? Can these materials be used to forge divine artifacts?"
When Haide saw the Black Jade Stone and the pile of precious ores, his eyes lit up.
As a master blacksmith, nothing excited him more than high-quality materials.
After all, to forge a fine weapon, one could not do without fine materials.
Black Jade Stone was a material with extremely high density and hardness; it was simply the premier choice for forging divine artifacts.
With these items, Haide felt he had a very high chance of successfully forging a divine artifact.
"Black Jade Stone... such a large piece of Black Jade Stone! Kolan, where did you find such a large piece? My god, the largest piece of Black Jade Stone I've ever seen was only the size of a thumb," Haide exclaimed. "Even if you only mix in a sliver of this Black Jade Stone, it can greatly improve the quality of a weapon."
"If others knew you had such a large piece of Black Jade Stone, they would be green with envy."
Kolan laughed. "So, are you confident you can forge a divine artifact?"
"I am confident!" Haide said, sounding quite assured.
"With such a large piece of Black Jade Stone and these precious ores, if we forge a divine artifact, what type of heavy weapon do you want?" Haide asked.
With a piece of Black Jade Stone this large, plus these precious ores, the resulting weapon would weigh at least twenty thousand pounds. Even for a Saint-level expert, that would definitely be considered a heavy weapon.
"Who told you I only wanted to forge one weapon?" Kolan said. He flipped his hand, took a beast-skin scroll from his spatial ring, and said, "I want to forge three weapons. These are my own designs; take a look!"
The beast-skin scroll was spread open, revealing drawings of three weapons.
One was a sword, though it was quite different from the common ones; it was much more elegant and a meter long. One side of the blade was engraved with a dragon, and the other with a phoenix.
One was a saber, curved and relatively slender. It wasn't wide, with a very fine tip that grew slightly thicker toward the hilt, making it look quite aesthetic. The blade was engraved with a white tiger.
The last one was a Phoenix Wing Scythe Spear. It had a sharp spearhead, and beneath the head were two curved blades shaped like scythes. The total length was over two meters.
Kolan had drawn these himself; they were his favorites and the weapons best suited for him.
None of them were heavy weapons, as neither the Life Law nor the Death Law was particularly suited for physical attacks.
He found the heavy swords and heavy sabers common in the Yulan Continent to be too clumsy and unsightly.
The single blade and sword inside his interspatial ring were both Highgod Artifacts, which were unsuitable for daily use and kept specifically to catch enemies off guard at critical moments.
Haide examined them in detail, looking over everything very carefully.
After a long while, Haide nodded and said, "I can forge these!"
Upon hearing this, Kolan revealed a smile.
After all, Haide was already the number one master blacksmith on the Yulan Continent.
If even Haide could not forge them, then it would be even more impossible for any other blacksmith to do so.
Furthermore, he did not cultivate in the fire element, and he knew absolutely nothing about blacksmithing.
If he were to study blacksmithing, he had no idea how much time it would take.
"Kolan, stay here for a few days. I must forge these three weapons personally; I fear others would be unable to do it. These three weapons will require quite a bit of time!" Haide said.
"Fine!" Kolan nodded.
Subsequently, Haide began to arrange the matters for the forging.
He also had people clear out a room; the Haide Family estate was very large, so they cleared out a small courtyard in the backyard for Kolan to stay in.
That evening, Kolan took out Saint-level magical beast meat, and everyone ate and drank together.
Haide's two sons were very excited. It was not that they had never eaten magical beast meat before, but this was their first time eating Saint-level magical beast meat.
Dragon meat from a Saint-level dragon, and bear paws from a Saint-level bear!
They had never eaten such things before; they simply never had the opportunity.
After all, these Saint-level magical beasts were not to be trifled with. The two of them were Rank 9 warriors, and while they could reach the early Saint-level upon transforming, they were still no match for these Saint-level magical beasts.
Kolan also met Haide's wife. Although Haide had over twenty women, he only had one wife. She was not very beautiful; on the contrary, she was somewhat aged.
Kolan did not quite understand why Haide would marry this woman as his wife. If one were to calculate it, Haide should have already been a Saint-level expert when he married. There was no shortage of women a Saint-level expert could choose to marry.
