Chapter 43: Kicking Me Out?

January 1st, Yulan Calendar 6000, the Magnolia Festival.

The entire Yulan Continent was joyfully celebrating the annual Magnolia Festival.

Lanterns and colorful decorations could be seen everywhere.

Children wore new clothes, and adults who usually scrimped and saved were uncharacteristically generous with their spending.

Under the Tree of Life, Kolan was eating and drinking with his two children, Leo and Hannah, as a way of celebrating the 'Magnolia Festival'.

Compared to the past, Life Castle seemed much more desolate.

Isabelle and Victoria had lived to be a thousand years old before passing away one after another.

The talent of both women could only be considered average; even with Kolan's help, they only reached the level of a ninth-rank mage and failed to cross the threshold into the Saint Realm.

The other women had all met the same fate, passing away of old age.

"Currently, the imperial family uses a diminishing inheritance system for titles. Each generation drops one rank unless someone stands out as exceptionally talented and earns an upgrade," Leo explained.

It had been a thousand years since the founding of the Kolan Empire.

The imperial lineage had passed through more than two hundred generations.

Kolan didn't even recognize many of the imperial descendants, nor did he have any emotional attachment to them.

Every year, many outstanding talents graduated from the academy, and these graduates were often fought over by major factions. Even the Kolan Empire would attract such talent by bestowing titles of viscount or count.

Some of the most exceptional graduates might even be enfeoffed as marquises.

The Gate of Life and Death, like the War God Sect and the Temple of Life, had become a transcendent power on the Yulan Continent.

Kolan now had over a dozen direct disciples. Naturally, those he chose to take on as direct disciples possessed excellent talent, so every one of them had now stepped into the Saint Realm.

Suddenly, Kolan's body stiffened, and his expression changed.

"Father, what's wrong?" Hannah noticed the change in Kolan's expression and asked with concern.

Just a moment ago, Kolan had received a divine sense transmission from Beirut, ordering him to leave the Yulan Plane within a year.

Kolan had been planning to participate in the next opening of the Necropolis of the Gods and explore it once more.

"Leo, Hannah, your mothers have already passed away, and both of you are now in the Saint Realm. I have nothing left to hold me to the Yulan Continent, so I have decided to go to the Divine Planes and Supreme Planes to seek my fortune," Kolan said.

He certainly wouldn't tell them it was because Beirut was forcing him.

Otherwise, if his children harbored resentment, it would only bring them harm.

"Father!" Leo and Hannah were shocked.

They had never expected that Kolan would want to go to the Divine Planes or Supreme Planes.

Kolan was the only god in the entire empire, its very pillar.

Leo and Hannah's expressions changed.

"Remember, do not go to the Divine Plane or the Supreme Plane until you have reached the level of a Median God!" Kolan urged.

He had left his mark on the Tree of Life. He could not take the Tree of Life with him, but the tree was like an extension of himself; it had a natural affinity for his bloodline. If the War God or the High Priest were to come, they would be met with the instinctive attacks of the Tree of Life.

Kolan explained carefully.

He did not give his children any Godsparks, nor the items he had crafted over the years.

He would leave these things here at the Tree of Life.
