Background / History

Blue Tyrant Academy was the only academy still recruiting when Li Xuan reached Heaven Dou City. Its entry requirements were for Soul Masters under twelve years old who already possessed one soul ring. 53

Li Xuan chose the academy to obtain systematic knowledge of Soul Masters and cultivation methods, while its location also offered a comparatively safe refuge from Martial Soul Hall's wanted notices. Though not considered a top-tier academy on the continent, it was described as one of the better academies in the Heaven Dou Empire. 54

Using the identity of Li Feiyu, Li Xuan enrolled after presenting a claimed 300-year first soul ring. The academy waived his tuition because of his early ring absorption and placed him in an intermediate Grade B class. 54

Li Xuan later spent a month extensively studying and transcribing useful material from the academy library. After concluding that its remaining books could no longer improve his knowledge, he planned to leave the academy secretly. 92

The academy is built around a mountain near Heaven Dou City. Its faculty buildings, classrooms, Academic Affairs Office, and library are located on the mountain, while student dormitories stand at its foot. 56

• Teaching buildings — Three seven-story buildings located on the mountaintop; students must climb several hundred meters to attend class. 57
• Cafeteria — A large dining hall at the foot of the mountain with numerous service windows. 58

Li Xuan's Enrollment

Blue Tyrant Academy gives Li Xuan his first structured access to Soul Master education. He enters under the fabricated identity Li Feiyu, conceals his actual Soul Power with the Burning Heart Seal, and uses the academy's tuition waiver and facilities to begin formal study. 54 56

Study and Cultivation

Li Xuan attends history lessons, uses the cafeteria and library, and investigates the fire-type mimicry environment on Huoyan Peak. He values the academy's cultivation journals and facilities but remains solitary among his classmates. 58 61 64 67

Departure

After exhausting most of the library's useful material, Li Xuan judges that Blue Tyrant Academy can no longer provide meaningful improvement and prepares to depart without attracting attention. 92
