Background

Li Xuan found Bangchui unconscious as a valuable Hundred-Thousand-Year Ginseng Soul Beast. Though Li Xuan initially considered harvesting his soul bone and flesh, he instead revived him with Green Spirit Liquid, fed him, and named him Li Bangchui. Bangchui was timid and shy upon awakening, but delighted to receive a name. 85

Bangchui refuses to discuss the experiences that preceded his transformation, leaving Li Xuan unaware of the source of his extreme timidity. He initially chose to remain at Spring and Autumn Winery rather than attend school, where he could cultivate with Douluo No. 1 and Spirit-Nurturing Pills. 91

He later became a trusted member of Ladi Canyon. His Earth Escape made him useful for rapid message delivery, while his knowledge as a former soul beast let him guide expeditions through the Star Dou Forest and identify spirit-beast territories. 190 198 216

Despite his early fearfulness, Bangchui is curious, eager to travel, and enjoys opportunities to experience the outside world. He becomes increasingly proactive as a member of Ladi Canyon, handling errands, leading smaller groups, registering the Galaxy Team, and serving as a reliable caretaker. 173 213 321

His gentle support role does not prevent him from being competitive. After being severely injured by the Demon Soul Great White Shark, he immediately expresses a desire to fight her again. 423
