Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King, survivor of the ancient war that nearly destroyed the Soul Beast race and its acknowledged Master of Soul Beasts. She was severely wounded at her origin by the Asura God and had expected to remain dormant for another 20,000 years at the Lake of Life. 14

Yao Xuan's awakening Golden Dragon King bloodline resonated with her own Silver Dragon King bloodline, forcing her early awakening and partially restoring her injuries. Recognizing the unknown soul beast as vital to both her recovery and the future of the Soul Beast race, she dispatched Di Tian to search southwest of the Lake of Life for him. 14

She personally found Yao Xuan after his bloodline reached a level that allowed him to shape-shift. Explaining the Soul Beast race's crisis and the restorative potential of their paired bloodlines, she made him her husband and brought him, along with Xiao Wu, to the Lake of Life. 38 39 40

Gu Yuena later formally presented Yao Xuan as her husband and co-Master of Soul Beasts before the great beast kings. Her recovery and continued bloodline evolution are repeatedly tied to their cultivation and the fusion of the Golden and Silver Dragon King bloodlines. 43 45 58 97

As the clan's ruler, she is commanding and ruthless toward defiance. When Xiong Jun challenged Yao Xuan's appointment, she immobilized him in mystic ice, inflicted a severe punishment, and later ordered the other beasts to monitor him after banishing him from the Soul Beast clan. 46 47
