Background and History

Early life and the simulator

Li Xiang transmigrated three years before the story begins and attended the First Cultivator Academy of California. A direct descendant of the powerful Li Family, he nevertheless grew up in Jixian Manor under Yuexian’s care, distant from the main household because of his poor aptitude and his missing parents’ strained relationship with the family. 1

He acquired the Cultivation Family Simulator, a cheat-like game originating from an ancient tomb. Through it, he discovered the Li Family’s ancestral line in another world and began acting as its unseen ancestor. His first major bestowal was a Qi Refiner Cultivation Manual sent to Li Dalong, allowing the latter to cultivate and establish the family’s future. 2

When the present-world Li Family transferred its assets and abandoned Earth, Li Zhengdao appointed Li Xiang as family head because he was the last Li bloodline left on the planet. The appointment left him without his allowance or family backing, forcing him to rely increasingly on the simulator, his descendants’ offerings, and trade with Boss Qi. 12 45

Rise as the Li Family’s ancestor

Li Xiang guided the early Li Family through Bestowal, Ancestral Blessing, and Incense-powered skills. He equipped Li Dalong with cultivation knowledge, rewarded capable descendants such as Li Yaowen, and recognized that even a basic cultivation textbook could become a foundational inheritance in the game world. 2 7 20

As the family expanded, Li Xiang began sending cultivation techniques, artifacts, array diagrams, and resources to his descendants. He also used Incense to absorb their combat insights, allowing him to learn arts without personally training through the same ordeals. 21 33 53

He eventually gained a physical form within the game world, cultivated alongside his descendants, and granted the entire clan the Ancestor’s Grace trait, improving their cultivation speed and comprehension. 64

Defender of Qingyun and the Li Family

Li Xiang became the Li Family’s decisive combat force during its wars in Qingyun Prefecture. Using Fight, My Dear Ancestor! and the Tianshu spear, he descended directly into battle, defeated Golden Core enemies, and protected the family from hostile clans and assassins. 60 89

After the Li Family was destroyed by Venerable Tianxing’s schemes, Li Xiang fell into despair for five years. Li Xinghuo’s plea for guidance restored his will, prompting Li Xiang to seek out surviving clansmen and rebuild the family from scattered remnants. 211 214

During the assault on King Qian’s city, Li Xiang implanted antimatter bombs into his own body and detonated them against the city’s grand formation. The act severely damaged him but broke the formation and allowed the Li Family and its allies to advance. 322 328

He continued to lead the clan through conflicts with the Qiu Family, the imperial court, the Blood Moon of the Western Border, and Old Lord Valley. Journey through the ancient past

Li Xiang later traveled through a spacetime tunnel into the world’s distant past. Stranded among primitive humans and early immortals, he used his knowledge of future cultivation methods to survive, study the origins of humanity and immortals, and attempt to alter history at the Human Emperor’s request. 782 786

He endured a two-hundred-year transformation caused by purple qi given to him by A Li, suffering repeated bodily destruction and reconstruction while pursuing a more perfect foundation. 801
