Planning Ahead
Hashirama hesitated, rubbing the back of his head. "Uh... maybe not. It feels like I'd be monitoring them. Let them have their fun. I'll keep observing once they return to the village."
"Sure. Whatever you say, Master."
After they finished talking about Jiraiya and the others, Hashirama turned to ask Torifu, "Did you come here just to chat? Or is there some other reason?"
Torifu waved a hand. "No other reason. I was just bored at home, so I came over to drink some tea with you."
"Speaking of which, how is the training going for Kakashi and the other two children? They had a whole year's break in the middle. Can they still pick it back up?"
Hashirama naturally knew about Torifu training Team Kakashi, and he had been keeping an eye on their progress the whole time.
"No problem. The three of them are extremely hardworking. Now the Otherworld's Kakashi has joined in too, but his foundation is much weaker than theirs."
"Our two worlds are joined together now, so there's no need to distinguish between the Otherworld and this world. If there are good seedlings, we should train them properly. That way, when we really encounter a crisis in the future, it won't just be us old fellows stepping up."
Hashirama had always been afraid that Konoha's ninja would have no successors, especially since Torifu had said that many outsiders would invade the Shinobi World in the future.
Peace could be shattered in an instant. If they waited until then to think of ways to increase their strength, it would already be too late.
As ninja, they had to maintain a sense of danger even in times of peace. No matter when it was, they could not abandon or erase the profession of ninja.
"You
