His First Day at Work
He felt that something was off. Logically, at this hour, why had no one come yet? Where was Minato? Could he have overslept?
Only after about ten minutes did a girl push open the door. "Oh, Lord Arashi, so you're here. I've been looking everywhere for you. Hurry, come with me."
Arashi, still dazed, was led away by her to a room next door.
The moment he entered, he saw an entire desk piled up like a mountain, already creaking under the strain.
The whole wooden desk looked as if it might collapse at any second.
"Come on, don't just stand there. First watch how I handle things, then you can do it yourself. It's all just miscellaneous work anyway. Even if you make a mistake by accident, it won't be a big problem."
Arashi had never imagined that the workload on his very first day would be this staggering. Were they trying to work him straight into an early grave?
Arashi felt like crying but had no tears. Was it still not too late to back out now?
"Why aren't you coming over to observe? Otherwise, how are you going to take the next step?"
Arashi snapped back to himself and quickly nodded. "All right! I'm coming right now!"
"May I ask if you're the Hokage's secretary? Will I be learning under you from now on?"
The girl smiled and nodded. "That's right. All the miscellaneous affairs of Konoha are handled by me. The Hokage is responsible for making decisions on major matters."
"Otherwise, think about it. Konoha is so big, and the surrounding villages and towns also have to be included under our administration. How could all of that be left to Lord Minato?"
"My lord's energy is limited. He has to shoulder
