At these words, the entire room fell silent.
Torikaze could clearly see that Senju Hashirama had no idea what expression to make anymore.
After a long pause, it was Tobirama who spoke first: "Torikaze, did you say Cloud Release? You've mastered it?"
Torikaze silently grumbled in his heart, 'Good grief! I really mean it! This Senju Tobirama is such a snob—the moment he hears I've mastered Cloud Release, he stops calling me a brat!'
"Yes, Lord Tobirama, I've mastered Cloud Release."
"Hahahaha!" A hearty burst of laughter rang out—Hashirama had snapped out of it!
"Excellent! Torikaze, you truly deserve to be called Konoha's greatest genius! Dual Kekkei Genkai!"
Hearing Hashirama say this, Torikaze understood that while Hashirama and Tobirama knew of Cloud Release, they weren't familiar with it.
He pretended to hesitate as he spoke: "Um... Master... actually, Cloud Release is a Kekkei Tōta..."
Hashirama had just gotten his expression under control, but now it was thrown into chaos again. One piece of information after another was making his brain short-circuit.
Even Mito Uzumaki was stunned.
To be fair, a Kekkei Genkai wasn't anything particularly rare.
After all, her own husband possessed one, and the difference between mastering one or two wasn't that significant.
If trained well, one could be called a genius; if not, some might fall into the trap of being versatile but not specialized.
In that case, it was better to have just one.
But a Kekkei Tōta was a different matter entirely! Across the entire Shinobi World, those who possessed one could be counted on one hand!
She had long heard of the terror of Cloud Release, but the Kumonaka Clan had always lived in seclusion.
They had never participated in the clan wars, so she had never witnessed it.
She never expected Cloud Release to be a Kekkei Tōta! No wonder the Kumonaka Clan, with just two or three members, could hold onto such a legacy.
"Ahem, Torikaze, you've truly surprised your master today. Successfully mastering a Kekkei Tōta—you are absolutely Konoha's genius!"
Tobirama wasn't as shocked as his elder brother and sister-in-law. He had seen Cloud Release techniques before.
Back then, he had suspected that technique wasn't a Kekkei Genkai, and as he developed one technique after another.
He became even more convinced of this.
Today, being proven right by Kumonaka Torikaze put him in a good mood.
Because it showed his understanding of techniques was profound—even if most of the techniques he developed had been banned by his elder brother.
"Eat first. After the meal, we'll go out and test it." Mito had already seen through the thoughts of the two brothers, Hashirama and Tobirama, but she had made this whole table of delicious food—they had to finish it first!
"Alright, let's eat quickly. Afterward, I want to see Cloud Release and Crystal Release in action." Hashirama was very interested in this.
It had to be said, Mito's cooking was truly excellent. The group quickly polished off the entire table of food.
Then they left the clan compound and found a fairly spacious open area with few people around.
Mito seemed to want to see Torikaze's talent for herself, so she followed along.
"Wood Release: Wood Clone Technique."
Strips of wood extended from Hashirama's body, gathering on the left side to form a human shape, its face identical to Hashirama's.
"Go ahead, use your technique on the Wood Clone. Don't worry about hurting it."
Torikaze nodded, his expression turning serious.
"Crystal Release: Single Lotus Arrow Technique."
Kumonaka Torikaze rapidly formed hand seals, and slowly, a lotus bud crystallized in his hands.
It looked like a work of art, seemingly harmless.
He hurled it like a javelin toward the Wood Clone Hashirama had created. The Wood Clone raised its left hand to block.
The crystal lotus bud bloomed the moment it touched the Wood Clone, its petals expanding several times in size.
In an instant, it became a crystal lotus.
The Wood Clone shook its hand, unharmed. A technique of this level couldn't injure it.
Unless the Chakra output matched its own.
The lotus was easily deflected, fell to the ground, and shattered into pieces. Hashirama spoke with a smile: "Very impressive! A powerful technique—did you develop it yourself?"
Torikaze nodded. He really liked Crystal Release and had been continuously developing its techniques.
Even though he had already learned some of Guren's techniques, they weren't his own.
Since he had the genius buff, it was definitely better to develop his own.
"Very strong. An ordinary shinobi could lose their life if they're not careful."
Hashirama was very satisfied with this move from Torikaze. A six-year-old child could develop such a technique.
He couldn't help but marvel once again at Torikaze's genius mind.
Even Tobirama, the master of jutsu development, had to admit this technique was impressive.
Mito, on the other hand, asked whether the crystals were real and if they could be made into accessories.
Torifu confirmed that point—these crystals wouldn't dissipate. Once formed, they were genuine crystal.
Being thoughtful, he generated a large crystal pillar for Mito to take home and make into jewelry.
"Have you developed any other jutsu?" Tobirama asked. He was growing fonder of this child by the minute, even thinking of snatching him away from his elder brother.
Torifu nodded again. "Yes. May I ask, Lord Tobirama, do you have a living creature on hand?"
Tobirama reached behind him and pulled out a Sealing Scroll. When he unsealed it, a rooster appeared before everyone.
Hashirama asked in confusion, "Wouldn't it be better to test it on a Wood Clone?"
Torifu scratched his head. "Master, Wood Clones are too strong. The effect on them isn't significant, and it's not very intuitive."
Hashirama nodded at that and continued watching his disciple work.
"Crystal Release: Crystal Poison."
A short, thin crystal spike slowly formed in the palm of Torifu's right hand.
He then slapped it directly onto the rooster's back, and the spike pierced straight into its body.
The rooster immediately began to screech, but Torifu held it firmly, preventing it from escaping.
After about a minute, the rooster's movements grew sluggish.
Its body began to crystallize rapidly from the wound at a visible rate.
Even the feathers couldn't escape the fate of crystallization. Finally, after letting out one last desperate cry, the rooster turned into a crystal sculpture.
"This technique is excellent!" Senju Tobirama immediately voiced his approval.
This kind of jutsu was perfect for ambushing enemies in battle. While they fought, they'd slowly turn into crystal!
Truly excellent!
Senju Hashirama looked at the crystallized rooster and felt he had taken on an incredible disciple.
A mere six-year-old could develop such a complex jutsu.
Though it would be hard to land a fatal blow on a strong opponent with this technique, once hit, they'd have to expend Chakra to resist it.
They'd inevitably be distracted in battle, and if they didn't resist, they'd slowly turn to crystal.
The technique was somewhat vicious, but on the battlefield, the more vicious the better.
You had to make your enemies fear you, so they wouldn't dare start a war recklessly.
"Excellent. Your Crystal Release is very powerful. Develop it well—I believe you have the ability."
Receiving his master's approval lifted Torifu's spirits. After all, this was the God of Shinobi!
The very pinnacle among tens of thousands of shinobi!
"Now then, let's try Cloud Release next." Hashirama had been looking forward to Cloud Release for a long time.
