Torifu waved a hand. "Just try it here at home. There's no need to go to the mountain."
With that, Torifu waved his hand, and a crystal pillar rose from the ground in front of Minato.
"Give it a try. There's no way you'll break this pillar."
Minato looked at Torifu, then at the pillar before him, and started trying to form a Rasengan.
He was still a beginner and couldn't yet perform ninjutsu reliably, let alone do anything fancy.
He dutifully made a clone to help him form the sphere.
As his hands moved faster and faster, a pale blue ball of Chakra slowly took shape.
Torifu, Chirori, and Minato were all overjoyed!
None of them had expected him to master it in such a short time.
Even in his excitement, Minato didn't stop pouring Chakra into it. He kept the sphere in his palm.
Then he suddenly struck the crystal pillar!
With a crash, Minato was sent flying a meter back, while the crystal pillar remained completely unharmed—not even a chip came off.
The result left Minato baffled. Wasn't the Rasengan an A-rank ninjutsu?
How could it fail to break even a crystal pillar Big Brother had casually created?!
Seeing the two of them looking confused, Torifu explained, "Don't worry about it. I made this by condensing a large amount of Chakra. It's for your training."
"If it could be broken in a single hit, why would I have bothered making it?"
Minato understood and relaxed, then began recalling the sensation he'd felt at the instant the Rasengan took shape.
