Orochimaru couldn't help speaking up. "What a coincidence. The Hiruko I know is researching the same thing."
It really was a matter of different lives for the same person: one had become a rogue ninja, while the other had become a manager in the Technology Department.
Their positions were worlds apart.
The former had to fight for every resource himself, while the latter could enjoy funding from the village.
Orochimaru was a little envious. With the village's support, his own research would progress much faster.
Unfortunately, he could no longer count on the village. Even Shimura Danzō was about to stop supporting him.
"Is that so? What a coincidence indeed. But I didn't find him anywhere in your village."
Orochimaru smiled helplessly. "My teacher strongly disapproves of the study of life sciences, but Hiruko is obsessed with Kekkei Genkai, so he's already left the village."
Torifu also looked regretful. "I see. I was hoping to have the two of them meet and see if they could speed up each other's research. But I suppose we'll have to forget about that for now."
"In that case, you can look around with Amado and exchange ideas about science. Then you can come back together."
Torifu had no intention of staying here any longer. He wasn't very interested in the science itself; he only cared about the results.
As for the process, he had no desire to learn about it.
It wasn't his area of expertise, after all.
Orochimaru naturally understood what Torifu meant and immediately said, "Of course, Lord Torifu. Please go take care of your own business. I'll discuss science with Lord Amado."
Torifu nodded.
