Looking at the towering Senkaimon before her, Orihime Inoue let out an exclamation of surprise.

Seeing Ukitake Jushiro beckoning to him from nearby, Kurosaki Ichigo felt a little confused, but still walked over.
"Here. This is for you."
"Huh? What is it?"
Kurosaki Ichigo took the small plaque bearing a black skull that Ukitake Jushiro held out to him and asked.
"A Substitute Shinigami Combat Permit. When a Substitute Shinigami is deemed beneficial to the Soul Society, there's a rule that we must give them one of these. With it, you can become a Shinigami whenever you want. Though I don't think it can make up for everything you've done for us."

As Kurosaki Ichigo tucked the Substitute Badge into his pocket, a faint smile appeared on Ukitake Jushiro's face. But it vanished as soon as he turned his head. He looked grimly toward Wu Biao, who was bound tightly with ropes by Uryu Ishida, Sado Yasutora, and Yoruichi, and was chattering nonstop!
"Let me go! I don't want to go back to the Human World. Let me play for another month!"
