Background and History

Arrival in Hell

Sparrow came to Hell from a material plane roughly five or six thousand years before meeting Leian. After arriving, he was assigned by the Bifu Army to the war-torn Mosen Tribe. His two divine clones were lost there, leaving him with only his original body and its self-refined Destruction godspark. 62 69

At the Mosen Tribe, he noticed Leian's wine from three miles away and approached him for a drink. In exchange for bottles of Wind-Sleep Drunk, Sparrow explained the tribe's wealth, its three Highgod leaders, and the dangers created by the Puppet-Glue Trees. 62

Training and the Mosen Tribe War

Leian later sought Sparrow's perspective on the Rule of Destruction. Sparrow agreed to spar in exchange for wine, demonstrating a crescent-shaped black-light material attack. Their sessions continued for half a year, though Sparrow grew frustrated as Leian spent increasingly long periods contemplating each strike. 63 64

When war reached the Mosen Tribe, Sparrow advised Leian to arrive late and remain alert. During the fighting, he retreated while collecting corpses and spoils, a survival tactic Leian quickly imitated. 64 65

After Mosen fled with several surviving Midgods, Sparrow and Leian attempted to escape during Mosen's confrontation with Fred Boyi. Sparrow later used his innate soul attack against Mosen, but it failed completely against Mosen's Soul Defense Artifact. 66 67

Oath to Leian

Following Leian's killing of Mosen, Sparrow chose to follow him for protection rather than flee alone. He refused a master-servant contract, but swore to the Supreme God that he would follow Leian for one million years and never betray, oppose, or expose him. 68

Sparrow traveled with Leian to Mengshan City, sharing intelligence about Hell and revealing his identity as a Black Soul Mouse. He remained at Leian's side through repeated bandit attacks, the Fiend assessment, and the conflict within Mercury Castle. 69 70 72

During the Mercury Castle assessment, Sparrow and Leian secured identity tokens and combined their attacks against the Highgod Flower Mother Empress. Sparrow used his innate divine ability at Leian's command, helping create an opening against an opponent above his realm. 74 75 77

Mengshan City and Return to Yulan

Sparrow received a Fiend Badge after surviving the assessment, but worried that Leian's Puppet Crystal would draw dangerous attention. Over time, Leian's advancing strength motivated Sparrow to cultivate seriously; he eventually became a Highgod. 82 86 92

After traveling with Leian, Beirut, and Karolina, Sparrow chose to return to the Yulan Plane with Beirut rather than accompany Leian across the Supreme Planes. Leian entrusted him with one trillion Inkstone and cultivation resources for Leian's Fate Divine Clone. 96 97

A million years later, Sparrow was still present in the Yulan Plane. He attempted to scan the island at the center of Youquan Lake but could not detect Leian after Leian achieved Grand Perfection of Fate. 105
