Background / History

After physically transmigrating, Shangguan Che retained plot-related memories, memories of time spent in the system space, and a set of self-written life experiences that he regarded as emotionally hollow. He discarded his former name, Qian Jihui, and chose “Shangguan Che” as his new identity. 2 3

He selected Class 1-D because most of the system’s assistance targets were assigned there. Rather than taking the +1 all-attributes Newbie Gift Pack, he chose a ten-pull skill draw with a guaranteed Gold-tier reward. 2

Upon arriving at Advanced Nurturing High School, he joined Class 1-D and took a seat in the back row. His early interactions included meeting Kushida Kikyo on the bus and initiating a friendship with his seatmate, Sakura Airi. 3 7

Shangguan Che is outwardly calm, casual, and willing to take initiative, but his thoughts are often dramatic, self-mocking, and shaped by chuunibyou-style fantasies.
