Faced with Doctor Strange's explanation.

"The multiverse is not some unreachable legend."

Doctor Strange explained, his tone carrying the gravity and risk of exploring the unknown. "There are countless branches of reality. "So you're saying you want to ask other versions of yourself from other universes for help?" Doctor Bruce understood at once, but the worry on his face only deepened. "Cross-universe summoning? That's too risky! Never mind how you'd locate and communicate with them—different universal laws might reject each other, or even draw in something worse—"

"I know the risks!" Doctor Strange cut him off, raising his voice. "But this is the only way I can think of that might give us power enough to match a dimensional lord. By gathering the power of multiple Sorcerer Supremes from multiple universes, perhaps we can construct a counterspell strong enough to push the Dark Dimension back!"

"Maybe even temporarily seal away Dormammu's mad move this time."

He looked toward the Avengers. "While I attempt to establish contact and gather reinforcements, the defenses of the real world are in your hands. You must hold those nodes and buy time. Earth—no, the fate of the entire reality dimension may depend on whether we can make progress on both battlefields at once."
