Lu Xia was killed on Earth while saving a child from an energy electric vehicle and transmigrated to the Douluo Continent. Over the following five years, he cultivated in secrecy rather than pursuing fame, reaching level 99 by age nineteen before the Heavenly Ranking descended 1 241.

He became the dean of Qingyun Academy, whose core staff includes Wei Zhuang, Shentu Ziye, Cheng Yaojin, Zhuge Liang, and Zhao Yun 1. He is also bold and unconventional. He challenged Xuedi and the Evil Emperor directly, offering them the choice of becoming his Soul Spirits or facing death, and wagered that he would serve Xuedi if he lost 104 107.
